This is funny, my first posting and I can totally relate to this guy despite the fact that I'm not famous...

He used to think of himself as a straight guy, so did I. Now I don't think I'm bi, but when I was married I didn't even know what "gay" meant. After my divorce I watching movies talking about homosexual life I decided to try it and I liked it.

Am I bi, I don't think so but I know some truly genuine bi people.

Besides gay men who are versatile enjoy sex with another man in 2 different ways to feel it.

davis is a pos. he's known for discriminating against GLBTs and now in order to sell books, he finally comes out

he's as queer as a three dollar bill. I don't buy the bi story line

There is some little drama going on between Davis and Kelly Clarkson where he dumps on her in his book and she is writing her own book as rebuttal or something. I caught both of them on CNN and it is hard to tell which is the biggest diva.

You have every right to give your opinion. But, Davis also has a right to define his own sexuality, which may, or may not, be more complex than you are presenting it.

I think 90% of guys who call themselves bi are gay but in denial.

It's my humble opinion, to each it's own.

Yeah, but that flies in the face of Kinsey's (et. al.) studies that show MOST sexuality falls somewhere on a sliding scale. Very damn few people fall 100% at one end or the other.

Don't judge. You wouldn't like being on the receiving end. :)

Is "Bisexual" the new code for "Gay"?

Yes. And "feminist" is code for "lesbian." "Muslim" is code for "terrorist."

Yes, it's true. And just as Stevie Wonder has said, gay people aren't really gay. We're just confused.

Having an opinion isn't the same as being judgmental. I happen to agree with anotherjohnindupont. I think modern evidence would back up my opinion. Kinsey's report on male sexual behavior was published in 1948 when homosexuality was classified as a psychiatric disorder. I don't find it too surprising that gay men at the time would rather identify themselves as bisexual. Much more is known about homosexuality now (including the fact that it hasn't been classified as a psychiatric disorder in decades)--from anatomical and sociobiological studies, for example. Of all of the thousands of men I've met in my life, the only men I've met who've identified themselves as bisexual have been people who came from severely disapproving societies, such as escorts from Eastern Europe. In this month's issue of Instinct, now recently openly gay Czech stud-model Jakub Bandoch states "The most pulse-racing of all, however, was when Jakub came out as a gay man, something he hadn't thought was possible growing up in Eastern Europe." I believe those so-called "bi" escorts in Eastern Europe are deluding themselves (or perhaps simply bullshitting), although I can understand from where they're coming.

And I would add that Clive Davis appears to have secondary gain reasons to bullshit about his true feelings/real sexual orientation.

It probably works both ways. Judging from the comments here and what I've seen elsewhere, bisexuals are the objects of ridicule, scorn, dismissal and doubt from the gay community, so it's probably easier for a lot of bisexuals to stay in the closet and just call themselves gay.

Why are we so enamored of a two party system.

I am a man who has had sex with men.

I am a man who has had sex with women.

Right now i am a man who would have sex with women.

Right now I am a man who would have sex with men.

I have hired men and had sex with them.

I have hired women and had sex with them.

I have lusted in my heart after men.

i have lusted in my heart after women.

When I was happily involved with a woman, i did not consider having sex with a man.

When I was happily involved with a woman, I did not consider having sex with a woman.

i see no need to define myself by my sexual activities.

You can label me if you feel you can not live in a world without labels.

I do not choose to label myself.

I have a tin foiled wrapped package in my freezer and it has been there for about 3 months and I do not know what is in it, so I understand how not labeling things can lead to mysteries we might otherwise avoid.

In the next few weeks, when in an adventurous state of mind, I am going to have dinner and have no idea what it is going to be until that package is unwrapped. That might not be comfortable to the labelers of the world, but not always knowing what you are going to eat is a comfortable way for me to approach life.

Thought fascists like deej and Rick Munroe can't bear it when someone disagrees with Liberal Groupthink Headquarters. Unicorn, good for you for not allowing yourself to be bullied into submission.

Are there some men who really are attracted to both sexes? Sure, some. With 6+ billion people on this planet, there is too much diversity in the human population for there not to be any genuinely bisexual men. But do I think that most men who claim to be bisexual are kidding themselves? From the supposedly bi guys I've known, yup.

Expressing an opposing opinion isn't the same as bullying. Let's not toss that word around so much that it no longer has any meaning.

There's nothing yummier than being "confused" all the time. :p

That has been my experience from every "bisexual" I've ever met so far. I have known a number who have later confessed that when they called themselves bisexual, they were really fantasizing about men when having sex with women. An example we're all familiar with, however, is, of course, Sir Elton John. He first married a woman, then said he was bisexual. Finally, he confessed to being a bullshitter all along--he was always only attracted to men. I do have to admire him and give him credit for finally coming clean in the end. There may, indeed, be some truly bisexual men out there. I can't read other peoples' minds. What I can say is that every single man I've ever men in my entire life who said he was bisexual had external reasons not to identify himself as gay.
