Xander posted a pic of James.. and asked the rhetorical question "How can you say no to...". Xander is merely pointing out that HE finds the pic adorable. He's stating his opinion and that's great. I didn't respond because I didn't think that it was necessary to express my opinion one way or the other.

I feel bad about making my initial comment. I didn't think it would start a troll-a-thon. I thought it was just a model image and it was up for opinion. I generally don't make negative remarks regarding escorts on here as I feel there is enough of that sort of chatter.

With that said, sorry if I started something...

I'm not sure what the fuss is about regarding this thread. I just re-read all the posts and didn't find any of them nasty. If anyone posts a picture of a man and asks for comments, there will inevitably some positive comments and some negative comments. Isn't that expected?

I agree that this is much ado about nothing. When people put themselves out there as an escort or a model, they're offering themselves up for critique and evaluation. I think that posters have stated, with various degrees of eloquence, that this guy is either their type or not. If someone says "I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole," they're not being particularly polite, but they're also not being hateful.

I think the subject of this post is attractive, but surely he must understand that some people will like his look and some people won't. I sincerely hope his feelings are not so delicate that he'll be offended to learn that he isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Try to rationalize and justify your disparaging responses to James's photo however you wish. I have no interest in fighting with hateful trolls on this forum. Never have, never will. It's just not my style.

Yet, I refuse to be a quiet bystander as cowardly cyber-bullies ridicule a new, fresh-faced, young working-guy regarding his appearance. As a community of clients who love hiring escorts, I believe we can do better than this:

"if it weren't for the hairy ass and legs, I would have thought he was a lesbian."

"these pics do nothing for me, he looks too young, seems to act too young and needs to grow up."

"The hair cut is not only horrible it is silly."

They're not hurting me. They're just confused.

James,

Welcome to the Forum. I regret (and I know some others do too) that this has been your introduction to this message board. The comments from some here have not been gracious or tactful, and unfortunately this can be too common here (see related thread about "safe harbor"). Having said that, your comment indicates to me that you have a good perspective and head on your shoulders. But all the same, there are more diplomatic ways to offer opinions.

Looking at your whole collection of photos (not just the one posted here), you have a distinctive style that I find cool and interesting. My particular favorite photo is the one of you on your back on the striped bedspread, where we can see the hair on your chest. I love that you have kept your body hair natural. I also like the photo with the Rentmen t-shirt... it has a punk rock quality to it, which is accentuated by the hair cut. Also the standing poses where again you can get a glimpse of the hair on your chest (I think you might get a sense I like chest hair!).

And Xander was right, that's a nice booty! :)

As some have said here, some escorts will appeal to some people but not others. I think of this as being a "niche" escort, and also consider myself a niche escort (though a different niche, at the opposite end of the age spectrum). Those of us niche escorts will not appeal to everybody, but as long as we appeal to SOMEbody we have a place in the market. I think your handsome looks, distinctive style, and friendly appearance will find fans soon enough.

I hope this will not put you off from the Forum, or for cultivating a unique style that is your own. Dustups aside, this is a good place to exchange information and share ideas, and hope you will want to participate.

I am, and have always been, envious of people who take risks with their look. :)

These comments are not hateful.

To compare someone to a lesbian is only hateful if you consider lesbians as bad.

To say someone looks too young is only stating a preference. There is nothing wrong with preferring a more mature appearance.

To call a haircut "silly" is merely expressing your opinion of it.

To reiterate, I think James is attractive, but I don't think, in this context, there is anything wrong with expressing an alternative point of view.

James,

Welcome to the message board. I hope you hang around for a good long while and contribute often. You are a cute man with a beaming smile and an equally bright future, no doubt. It's admirable you took the high-road in responding to comments on your photo. Your thick skin will serve you well on this board and throughout life. Good for you!

Oh, okay.

Seeing the boo-hoos offered up regarding this thread's honest postings while other words of scorn go on without comment is laughable.

Hey AG.....If you happen to check back again, since your profile and email no longer work, if you wanna chat, you need to hit me up some other way.

Maybe you could have expressed yourself a little differently in this post:

YES, she's not just a cunt, but a fucking UGLY, bitter, self-righteous cunt...just like Ann Coulter, Phyllis Schaffley, Anita Bryant, and Bay Buchannan.

"I prefer older men" is a preference. "He looks too young" is a judgement. This one is plain as day.

The words you choose to use here have consequences.

I have come to understand through earlier events and a lot of conversations with Daddy, the one word that will piss him off (as it should) is mentioning pedophielia or pederasty. I now know the extraordinary precautions he takes to make sure that anyone being represented her, especially in pictures, is of legal age. He is fanatic about that. And will get you a permanent ban quicker than anything else ever could. I remember a couple of years ago, some newbie posted a question about a 14 year old "escort". His account was suspended and the subject deleted in an hour.

Yes the words have consequences. And the consequence for questioning the legal age of someone who is here, and who in James' case we know, could be very quick and not very pleasant at all.

James is definitely not my type (I like guys much older and hairier) but seemed like a genuinely nice bright young man when we met at the DC luncheon. If younger, cute twink types are your thing, as I know they are for many, James would be very worthy of consideration. I know James got Daddy's thumbs up on first impression. Same here. As did his travel partner Xander.

That is why so many here respect you and your opinion Jack. You are a very classy gentleman. I, along with many others, would love to meet you sometime. Hopefully you could make it to PS one year for the forum weekend.

And I agree completely with every word you said.

Thank you for your kind words. We put a lot of work into that photo shoot... Some people just can't appreciate it.

But they don't have to, and that's alright just as well. I just wish the 'negative' comments made by other posters were more constructive than destructive (or "opinions" or "observations" as other posters have claimed they are).

I hadn't put two and two together and realized James is the guy that was at Xander's table in DC. We were on opposite corners of the room and I did not have a chance to meet James, but noticed him on the way out and yes he is a very cute guy. He had glasses on which really suited him, he looked very collegiate. I'll concur with Lee, if you like younger guys James looks like a winner.
