As Juan said this has been discussed many times here. I've always found it a good idea to listen to what Juan says. One of the brightest and most well spoken guys out here.

 

I fall into the "not a dealbreaker" for me category, although I do have friends that won't hire without the face pic. One of my very favorite guys doesn't show his face, the Legendary Dave. Some others who are the best in the business and never have shown their face are Juan, Steven Draker, Dane Scott, and Jax Thorne. It certainly hasn't hurt them too much. Sure, it costs them some hires, but I think there are more than enough guys that it wouldn't make any difference. The body will make the initial impression, but the initial communication between client and escort I think is what will really seal the deal.

 

The bottom line is that you have to do what is best for you. I know, understand, and fully support the reason for Dave's decision. So as long as you, and your regulars, are comfortable with it, I wouldn't worry about the few that "got away".

I think as an escort it's very important that the escort have a face pic available for the potential client. The client should know what they are getting ahead of time and as a result should be able to see the entire product.

I believe I am somewhat unique in my requirements for hiring escorts. Face pics are never a requirement when I hire. I have been in the industry a long time and never recommend that escorts show face pics on profiles. If a client requests a face pic and you're willing to send one then that's all good, however your past can come back to haunt you at any time.

As a client, I would never (again) hire an escort without first seeing his face. As mentioned earlier by another client, I tend to make the connection through a face, not a body and certainly not through lower regions - call me weird! Years ago before the Internet, in a foreign country I hired through an agency. When the gentleman arrived, although the body was great, the face so didn't work for me that I thanked him and gave him cab money home. (That was the agency's policy.)

I have trouble believing most people are going to recognize an escorts's face from an ad even a porn star's unless you only stick to going to gay venues. (Although I was once with a an escort from California who was originally from New York. We were at a tourist spot in Texas. A woman there recognized him- not as an escort but as being a former friend of her brother in NYC. The woman and her husband were from the NYC region and were visiting friends in Texas. That's the closest I can think of anyone recognizing an escort I was with).

 

All of that being said, I prefer to only to hire guys with face pictures. But I have had two major successes with guys who didnt show complete face pictures- but I only hired them because their half pictures were so handsome you knew that they had to be handsome. And both had reviews from people I trusted. One of them was Louis who used to advertise in NYC but I believe may have retired. And the other was Arek from NYC. If Louis ever advertises again or if Arek's ad and body types are to your liking- you should run to hire them.

For me the most important part of the face is the smile. A grumpy gus does not thrill me. A confident smile can overcome many facial imperfections. Some guys just post their face from lip to chin, thus protecting privacy. Others post just the eyes, which is also an option.
