Well that would be me being guilty there too. I have never sent a thank you email and probably never will. I am not being ungrateful for the money the client has spent but I feel that they have their lives and I have mine and they'll contact me when they want to see me. I don't think it's ever put a client off booking me again and I must have done something right with it, I have been around as an escort for a long time.

Yes, but you Brits are a soulless lot filled to the brim with protocol and everyone knows and accepts that. Americans are supposed to be friendlier and clueless and intrude where and when they aren't wanted.

I was always told, treat someone with the respect you expect to be treated with yourself. I might ring around for insurance quotes for my car but I don't expect the companies I have traded with in the past to contact me again when my renewal date is near, hassling me for business because they know I am in the market place to make a deal.

If I was a client, I wouldn't expect my escort to email me three months later asking why I have not booked him again.

I absolutely agree with the thank you email for all clients; it's a great practice.

I think that further communication really depends on the specific person. For example, I've had several clients ask me to keep in touch, and so I email or text them fairly regularly. It's usually to say hello, or check in, or what not. Some people may like this type of communication, so it's best to cater the type/frequency of communication to the specific person's likes.

I'm a very laid-back fellow, but I really don't like it when escorts call or text me to inquire about "when" we will be getting together again. I just don't like being put on-the-spot or prodded to hire a guy again until I'm ready to do so. That's just my opinion.

During hurricane sandy I did a search in my emails for "Nyc" and "new york city" and found all of my clients that I have met (either in nyc or otherwise) and sent them warm wishes. I also did a search in my google voice for the nyc telephone code and did the same via text message. Everyone remembered who I was and thanked me for being a gentleman.

I make sure that I have the name of the city of every client I'm conversing with IN the email body so that when I'm traveling I can quickly just look up their email address and phone number. I used to keep a spreadsheet, but this is less work and works just as well for me now. I always email clients before I'm headed out to a city.

Other than that, there are a few clients I'll be buying gifts for this Christmas, but nothing too major. Everyone is different, and you have to know your clientele. I get genuine people because I advertise as a genuine person. The clients who hire the bareback escort probably wouldn't be too fond of my happy holidays text messages and bath soap.

It surprises me to hear how many people don't get a "thank you" email from their escort post-meeting. I mean, what the fuck?

I usually beat the escort in sending a "thank you". I once asked an escort why he hadn't sent me a "thank you", and he responded that accepting a repeat appointment with me meant that he'd had a good experience the last time.

Hi all. I'm brand new on the forum and finally got the courage to post an opinion.

I find that in the year or so since I've been hiring that I tend to find an escort I really like and continue hiring them instead of trying new guys that may or may not be good for me. I tend to hire guys I've met when they travel through my town each time they come through if I connected with them on our first meeting. I also have favorites in NYC and Chicago when I take trips for Opera and/or shows. Better to go with a guaranteed great time...just IMO.

Welcome to the forum.

I do like it when an escort reaches out to thank me for getting together either via email or text message. It makes me know that they actually had a ok to good time too and has made me definitely want to hire them again.

Along the same lines of repeat business, when escorts travel to different cities where you have an established customer base, do you seek out or accept new clients?

So how does one handle situation like this? Asking to be removed from email because yo have no plans of seeing him again seem to harsh and direct.

Being a passive person, I would simply ignore the email/text. Hopefully, they'll get the message soon enough.

I've had to be exactly that direct with one masseur who would text me repeatedly after our appointment asking when the next time would be. I did not plan to go back to him and eventually told him so in those words. The texting stopped. Sometimes you just have to be honest.

Conversely, I feel compelled to respond positively with an appointment as to do otherwise, the escort might not make time for me in future instances. Sometimes, they proactively reach out because thy are most likely in need of repeat business and feel comfortable to reaching out to 'low lying fruit' rather than advertising and hoping their ad gets a hit.

Occasionally, a traveling escort will email me when they're planning a return trip and ask if I'd like to see them. If I enjoyed the initial encounter, I will often say yes. It really doesn't bother me at all.

Really, cany, we must do something about these low self-esteem issues.

First:

80 to 90 percent of your visitors will not return, mostly for reasons that have nothing to do with you.

The best repeat business comes from finding a genuine personal connection with the person you are with. One of my best return clients is because we found a common interest about where we went to college (about 20 years apart, but it worked!)

Here are some helpful tips:

If the visitor says, "I had a lot of fun! I want to see you again!"

Ask them, "Can we keep in touch?"

If they say "Yes", you can ask if their phone is a work number, or if they prefer email, etc.

They may change their mind later, they may not come back, but at least this way you have established a clear agreement on communication.

If they do not say initiate, you can still ask, "Do you want to keep in touch?"

"Sure." or ""Let me contact you."

This may be just a polite way of avoiding conflict, but again, clear agreement.

If you had a good time, send a thank you note. If they do not respond after a few tries, leave them alone.

You can't and wont win them all, but be professional anyway.

I say probably 60% of the 80-90% will not return due to the fact of various competitors in the area. I know, because there's a couple of guys I see who are hundreds of miles from any sizable escort population and I see them maybe once or twice a year for the past 2-3 years. The clients find you quickly, and you can keep them for awhile.

Whereas, when you're in a city where everytime you blink an eye, 5 new escorts have popped up...you can't build anything like that. You'll be doing it for years. There's a massage guy I met at a bar in Ft Lauderdale who seems to have a pretty decent massage business going...but he's like 53 years old (I'm 26). I would have to live and die twice just to make it to where he's made it. It would take a long time.

folks will repeat if you're not an ass and treat them well. that's what being in a personal business is all about

if you can't wrangle a nice group of repeats on a regular schedule, you're doing something wrong

I've always appreciated a thank you email or text shortly after my time with my escorts, even with guys I've been with dozens of times. I've posted before the world record in thank you note came from Peter Hung who sent me the thank you text by the time I hit the front door of the hotel.

I don't know if I'm different than most clients, but I look for that connection and go into a first meeting hoping it is the first of many. Almost always it has been. I have never hired from an ad in RB, RM, M4RN. All of the guys I've hired I have gotten to know through the forum. Either interacting with them here on the forum, or getting to meet them in person in DC or Palm Springs. So I think I may have a better feel for the guys before that first meeting than simply hiring based on an ad. At the luncheon in DC next month, I'm going to be surrounded by my escorts. I'm going to have 7 of the guys I have hired there, all of them on many multiple occasions.

It's funny, though. I don't think I treat my escorts all that specially. Just with common decency, courtesy, kindness, and thoughtfulness. Sort of like I try to treat everybody else I encounter. Yet they always tell me how rare something that simple is. It's amazing how far something that simple will get you. Just like jimboivyo said, treat the clients the same way, and you'll have a big chunk of repeat business.

The best post-contact text I've received from an escort arrived shortly after (minutes) our time together. It said, "Had a great time tonight. Text me when you get home so I know you arrived safely." I thought that was classy. You better believe that fostered some repeat business!

escorting 101: THE PRIME DIRECTIVE: never ever contact a client!!!! (unless given specific instructions to do so) this is old school and some of the new generation will call me old, ancient and outdated but contacting a client is a violation of DISCRETION and it speaks of DESPERATION. http://www.rentboy.com/magicmikey

Hey ----,

Have a great Thanksgiving/Christmas/Appropriate Jewish Holiday. I've appreciated the opportunity to get to know you this year and wanted you to know that. Stay safe and I hope we'll connect against soon.

Hi,

As a client, I will say I love it when an escort follows a session with an email to me. Lets look at it as a business--> I go to a store and they ask for my email. I give it to them. They will follow up with either a "thank-you," a request for feedback, or just a "Hi, can we help you with anything else?," etc.--No matter what, I have initiated the initial meeting with you, the escort. You should follow up with an email/call to me. This makes me feel as though my time/money meant something to you and you would be "open" to another encounter. Of course, if you don't want to see me again, don't follow-up. LOL. Seriously, though: if I see two different escorts in one month's time, I'm more inclined to be a repeat client with the one that followed-up with an email or call after our encounter. I would not be offended, nor would I feel "harassed," if an escort contacted me after a "meet-up."
