Hope Maxellissmart and Citylaw are well.. Great contributors to this site and then all of the sudden silence...

Really miss their entertaining (maxwellismart) and opinionated (citylaw) posts.... I found myself enjoying and sharing a lot of the same sentiments with these 2 posters.

I don't think I have seen maxwellissmart since the site came back from its 4 week hiatus last month. I nearly didn't come back either because I had a family wedding in New Orleans and advertised on here the night before the site was pulled with options for guys who frequent the board to possibly make an appointment because I could have flown into one of three hubs on the way to New Orleans and stayed over at an airport hotel for a few nights and then suddenly the board was pulled. About a dozen guys had messaged me on this site in the previous 6 months asking me to publish some availability next time I was visiting New Orleans and when I did, pop went the board. I felt that pulling the board wasn't a particularly hospitable thing to do to the many escorts who make the board what it is and use it as one of their mediums for advertising their tours.

I agree with Steve. The dialouge and communication on here since then has noticeably deteriorated. I was meeting 2 to 3 new clients a month from this site for about 16 months but have not met anyone new from here since then. It is unfortunate but similar to if your fav restaurant closed for a month....customers (even good ones) will go elsewhere. I have NOT left and am still here and still love the reviews and the forum! However I find that wheras I used to spend 30 minutes on average reading the daily posts and discussions now it is 5 or ten minutes. The dialouge and banter has suffered. I heard something about a vacation being disguised as a hissy fit. Me thinks some members aren't alone here in their pursuit and enjoyment of high drama.

 

Who shuts down a website these days to do something other than maintenance? How smart do you have to be to know when your site is down, you are out?

 

Of course, if someone wants to take a vacation, and there's no one left on the team to make sure the electric bill is paid during your absence, I see no reason why you can't state your case, take some pleasure-time off, and leave on a happy note. The only problem: I hear the note that was left was not very happy.

 

I also hear that OZ thought for a minute that he was the star of some party. He got such an overnight influx of Daddy/Hooboy loyalists, he scrambled to find new forums to anoint with their usernames. And had the nerve to name one Hooboy, in honor of a dead, so-called friend, who may not appreciate the exploitation. I'm sure OZ has been busy with his travel agent trying to create new contests to see if he can keep his momentary "new" members.

 

Oh, the silly games we play in the name of escorting. Maybe D.C. Dave can produce a new webinar: "How to be liked and run a site like a professional."

I went from a very frequent poster to a once in a great while "peeker." I grew bored of censorship (both here and MER) and lost interest. I feel like the dialogue has been suffering for quite awhile, and any attempt to liven the debate was quashed at every turn.

 

The "banning" and nonsensical "time outs" grew boring. Fragile egos, power trips, whimsical breakdowns, etc. took a toll, on me at least.
