Can anyone disagree that the internet has allowed for the age of the international escort? Before the internet, a young man might go down to the local corner where guys met guys. Perhaps he met some men who introduced him to other men. Then he went to the Big City to test his marketability among the fashionistas and the very wealthy. Then he retired! The men had moved on to the new kid.

 

Now he simply logs onto the internet. One week he is in Paris, the next Kansas City. He will go from a Manhattan penthouse to a Palm Springs gay resort. Do the prices go up? They don't likely go down. One night it is a sole customer, the next a duo, and then what? Orgies? I don't know. I don't live the life of an international escort.

 

But we have one who posts here, and by that I mean Steven Draker. As internet posters, Steven and I don't always agree. But, if I were to buy the autobiography of an international escort, his is the one I would choose. He has wisely used the internet, perhaps is even a pioneer in its use to make a career for himself as an international escort. The stories he must have stored up! Yes, I'd read them. Pictures too!

 

All of which is not to say that other escorts are not sitting on some really scintillating stories too. Juan Vancouver may be the best writer here, so his book would probably make my list. Which leads to the question, and we always ask questions now on this forum, which escort would you like to read about in an autobiography?

I agree that Juan is a wonderful writer, but I think he may be too much of a sweet-natured philosopher to give the kind of dish I would want in an escort autobiography. I would definitely vote for Steven Draker to give the kind of details that would keep me amused. Other seasoned escorts who could probably tell their stories well are Rod Hagen and Steven Kessler.

A thoughtful choice Lucky. I would place my vote for him as well. An absolute professional from square one. A world traveler with the utmost dedication to his profession. Not everyone will agree with Steven on everything, AAAHHH but to sit and read an autobiography from that man, would be most interesting indeed. For myself, I find published memoirs recounting recollections of "The Big Fuck", if you will, to be tired and tedious tales. If the "tell-all" novella has become the "standard" of validating one's life, I am happy to be on my out of it. . .

I certainly expect someone to make a comment about the escort plagiarizing some other escorts autobiography so I'll just "nip it in the bud" up front. I spent time with Tony in Boston a number of years ago and he was one of the most impressive young men I ever met. Not only were his bedroom skills exceptional, he was dedicated to the pursuit of his education and his family and friends. I'm sure he is doing well personally and professionally in his current life.

It does look as though there is no shortage of escorts who might have interesting stories to tell. The ones who are career escorts tend to come to the forefront when thinking of a book. Yes, Benjamin could have a good one, Tyger I am sure of. I agree that the book has to wait until they are retired, but then, does an escort ever retire anymore?

I would only want to read such book if the person was retired from the business and had the freedom to say what they really think.

 

If it was a truly honest book that would sell, the escort would take the chance of hurting some of his regular clients and/or famous people who hired him only once, twice, or more often. That may be fine with him, if he needs the money...but not so fine with some of his former clients.

 

Or perhaps we are pretending the escorts have never said negative things to us about other clients, famous or not famous.

 

I think it's a very bad idea.
