That was the extent of the commitment on both sides. At that point, I really really wanted to see him. About two months before [Month Day], something happened to make me change my mind, so I wrote to him to cancel.

Me: Sorry to have to tell you this, but I want to cancel the idea of getting together in [City] this [Month]. Although this email gives you two months notice, if I am causing you financial harm in any way, please let me know, and I will make it right for you.

Him: What happened? It is no problem but I am concerned. Please be honest with me because you seemed really into it and so sure of your plans.

Me: You are right, [Mr. X], for a long time I was really into it.
It's just that I no longer think that we are an especially good match-up. It's the kind of feeling where there is no "fault" on either side, it's just a new awareness that this won't be a good "marriage," so to speak. Sorry, and take care.

It does sound like you toyed around with him a bit. And then to relate your hiring an escort for a temporary short amount of time is in no way comparative to a life-long marriage with finances, family, kids, etc. involved.

As for your, "now you proved to me we're not a good match" or whatever, well what do you expect? How do you go from several months of interest, to all of a sudden a vague reason for not wanting to see him? I think a proper plan in the future is to not chat around with escorts for months trying to schedule things until you are sure about your 'match-up'. people have all sorts of doubts and fears prior to meeting an escort. Or, some people have non at all and meet with surprise.

However, if that were me...I'd either choose not to respond, or I would probably have found a way to find out a bit more about why. However, being that you couldn't give one...I'd chalk it up to you were only merely interested in hiring an escort, but didn't REALLY want to.

However, I was a bit concerned about his mentioning having 17 other clients in said city. That was non of your business, and I think subconsciously you felt he was a *****.

I assume when I call an escort for a day-of appointment that I will be turned down and that it will be a happy surprise if he's willing and able.

Sometimes, I don't know until the day of or day before that I'll be free, so I'll call just to see if the same is true for the escort. And sometimes, it does happen. But it's silly to expect the escort to necessarily be free.

If I really want to see him, I book days or weeks in advance. I met an escort in NYC last night and that was booked four months ago.

24 hours notice is not unreasonable. If the same client wishes to book again, he should be required to pay half of the would have been fee for the missed appointment. This would, however, need to be disclosed prior to a booking. Why not implement this policy with your bookings? It seems reasonable to me. It's EXACTLY the policy that my hair salon has.
