Season 14 of DWTS

 

I thought the start of Season 14 was the best ever. A very talented lineup... If I'm correct, the lowest score was 20 out of 30. Should be an exciting season. Good seeing some of the child actors all grown up. And, that host from the View was a real hoot. Her comment about leaving a boob on the dancer floor was priceless.

I agree Coop, but somehow everything blurred for me after William appeared. Did you see his ass in the backstory promo ? I hope everyone votes just to keep him hanging around. Can you imagine him in his Paso-Doble costume ??? I'm swooning already

JJ, Yes, William Levy is Drop Dead Gorgeous and will go far with all his fans, however, if they didn't introduce Martina Navratilova, I probably won't have recognized her. She jokingly said, "this was the 1st time in 20 yrs since she's worn a dress". What an amazing make-over they did on her. Her dancing was a pleasant surprise and God bless her, a breast cancer survivor.

I always thought Levy was an obscure South American male model that only gays were aware of, and even then, I don't think most knew his name, only his image. I guess he is more famous than I realized. And I was also shocked when I saw Navratilova. Who knew she could be glamoured up like that!

According to todays reports, the Premier show had its LOWEST ratings ever in its 14 seasons..... Shameful !

 

Hopefully, with word of mouth about the spicy Latino sex bomb, the numbers will pickup?

 

What about a Gay version of Dancing with the Stars ? Gay guys paired up with Sexy hunks like Mario lopez, Ricky Martin, Matt Bomer, Cheyanne Jackson, etc .....

I'm not surprised at the low initial ratings. When they announced the lineup a few weeks ago, I thought the star power was somewhat weak. There are numerous "celebrities" on the show that I never heard of.

 

Having said that, it was an entertaining show. I particulary enjoyed watching Sherri, Gladys, & Martina. I suspect the ratings will improve as people get familiar with the cast.

 

I predict Jack Wagner or the football player will be the first to go.

 

I could swear I saw Chris Evert in the audience. I assume she was there in support of Martina.

I thought Melissa Gilbert was the least entertaining, and the most stiff. However, in all fairness, she is a survivor of a serious back surgery which can account for her "timidness" on the floor. Hopefully she will improve, she is just so damn nostalgic. And whoever that break-dancing Disney kid was, I'd love to see more. Youthful exhuberance with a Fresh, new twist, throwing in those hip-hop moves. But as Len said, ballroom doesnt call for Hip-hop, so he better tone it down.

I thought this was the reason but this AM's papers say even the VOICE had lower ratings on Monday (and they did not attribute it to the premier of DWTS). I personally was flipping back and forth between these two shows so it was 50/50 for me.

I will celebrate that too... but I can still admire his looks, his body, his package, his talent and everything about him... in fact that is sincere admiration.. and I would still love to give him a massage...
