Nude Yoga in NYC

Nude Yoga Classes are now being offered to MEN only in NYC.

 

Naked Spaces, in Park Slope Bklyn is offering NUDE yoga classes for men Only. They say they offer a "safe enviornment for physical, mental and spriritual practices".

 

When asked for guidance on how to behave if confronted with an "Erection" they simply advise " to congratulate yourself on having a healthy, normal reproductive system"

Its NOT a problem, however, what you choose to do with your Erection is another matter open to consideration.

 

Would you take a Nude Yoga class ? Do you think the attendees will be there because they are seriously into Yoga ?

 

And, how would you handle YOUR erection ? :o

I actually a few years ago took a class of this guy from the clip (Aaron) of nude yoga in Chelsea (NY), on 23rd and 6th if I remember correct.

There was a bunch (20ish) of naked men, some hot, some regular ordinary guys. I think that somehow there was a sensual feeling wondering around, especially when we were asked to choose a "partner" for some poses together.

It was fun. I didn't see real erections, but some slight "excitement" here and there, included myself when I had to be back to back or side to side or hand to hand (no one on top of the other, alas..) with a kind of hot guy.

I just looked up the site. But most people go to yoga to relax, and it, er, harshes their mellow when someone starts to get too aggressive with his advances and the other guy resists.

I went to a couple of nude male yoga classes when I was living in Phoenix a few years back. There were some handsome guys there, but the atmosphere was not particularly sexual. Maybe there was a bit of low-level sexy energy, but not much. When it was time to start, everyone just stripped down and it was an otherwise regular yoga class. As freshfluff mentions people do yoga to relax, and it also requires focus to do a lot of the poses.

 

My friends made fun of me for going and it provided me with some cocktail party talk, but actually I enjoyed it. I know it's a nudist cliche to say losing the clothes felt "freeing", but in fact it did. I'd do it again... maybe next time I'm in New York :-)

 

Now Bikram yoga, on the other hand, seemed much more sexual to me. That's the yoga where the studio is super-heated and everyone sweats profusely. It was not nude, but everyone had the teeny-tiny yoga shorts (plus sports bras for the gals). The shorts are revealing enough when dry, but when drenched with sweat on a sweaty body, oh my. Definitely sexual energy swirling around. Also a bit of a cult-like feeling which was odd.

When I first saw the posting, I thought, what are they going to think of next as a lead on to being with hot guys?

 

After thoroughly watching the video, I think I would do it. It was more liberating than sexual and I've always wanted to try some type of yoga/meditation. I must admit the instructor did entice me beyond the purpose. His mellow but forceful voice and gentle touching were incredible.

 

As far as dealing with an erection. If it happens, it happens. It's been going on during massages, in the gym/locker room for years. No big deal

It is a proper class (not just a chance to see cock, tho that is nice and shouldn't be overlooked when chalking up the pros and cons).

For myself, I haven't exactly figured out "why nude?" (I attend other, clothed classes as well as yoganu). I think at the start it was about seeing what it was like being naked around other guys when it wasn't about sex.

 

As for getting a hard on or a semi, aye, like Bosguy says, if it happens, it happens.

Admittedly, it's never as easy as that. When it does happen, it's difficult not to feel self-conscious initially and it can be a bit of a mental leap not to worry about it. But in the end, you're not going to 'do anything with it' and once you realise (accept) that, it can be quite freeing to be that open about getting a hard on (in a room full of strangers that you're not going to have sex with).

 

Only ever done one 'hot' yoga class, and although there were no tiny yoga shorts, I have to agree, with the semi-nakedness and the sweat pishing out of everyone, it was pretty sexual.
