I'm with the crowd that likes to have music on, but I'm pretty flexible about what it is.

In the early 70s, when I was just getting going, I used to like to put on Procol Harum or The Moody Blues. Later, I went through a period of liking certain disco songs, the first of which was "Dancing the Night Away." Then, for a while, I was really into listening to Jane Oliver with my boyfriend.

As we got a little older, we discovered that Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald could be really romantic, especially with a fire and some brandy and snow falling outside. Then I went through a period of really liking Rachmaninoff during sex; some of the popular works (Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini, Piano Concerto #2) are great to fuck to.

Now, I've gotten into solo piano music and really enjoy having Michael Jones or Peter Kater playing.

But what I enjoy most of all is playing something that my partner really gets into. Music really does it for lots of guys and watching them get into it is great. :)

Rick, I howled at your CF joke, but I agree--no music is best for fucking, although a CD of Piano Solos I found in Ireland, "Pure Calm" is the most fantastic music to suck cock to -- Just hit the repeat-1 button and it goes on for hours :+

How about "At Last" by Etta James? I think it was from the movie "Pleasantville." This one never fails to turn me on. It's great for a nice, slow, passionate fuck! Have fun!!

Thanks, guyinsf and Flower. I wasn't really fishing for compliments but sometimes I wonder if anyone's getting my humor. It's so hard when you can't hear the laugh. Sometimes I want to tap my monitor & say, "Is this thing on?" :p

Soundtracks: IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER is good, but BRAVEHEART is tops. Yes, you have to skip the first cut, unless you're into bagpipes. The rest is hot, builds slowly and works for light s/m. By the time you get to the Battle of Bannockburn you'll be reaching for the riding crop.

Do you mind them watching you have sex or do they keep their eyes on the music? :p

Hmmm...I can't picture it. Anatomically, wasn't her booty just a bit too big for him? :p

Possibly, until you think about what it is that she's eating. :p

RE: Great ...FUCK... music

The Devil in Miss Jones soundtrack is pretty good for steamy 70's sex, except for the one vocal cut, which is really distracting. Rhino put out a raunchy saxophone strip joint compilation which can be alot of fun if used properly. 808 state and Prodigy have some fun numbers for crazed industrial sex. Tuxedo Moon's Ghost Sonata is perfect for other-wordly sex. And Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon works well if you're tripping. Sade is good, but best of all I think, are the moans of grunting lovers.

What, you don't want a piece of the pie? Isn't that unamerican?

These might seem a bit off the wall, but I think Caberet Voltaire is great for long, lusty, sweaty sessions. And Meat Beat Manifesto can be great for highly-charged, intense action (but it's not for everybody!).

Etta James recorded "At Last" many many many years before the movie Pleasantville came out. I agree, it is a great song, as is anything by Etta James. If you love Aretha Franklin, then you will love Etta James, who first recorded in the 50's (hence the association with Pleasantville). Even though she was confined to sitting while on stage due to frail health, she brought the house down at her recent concert at Warner here in DC. :-) :-)

I'm not too particular about what someone else plays as long as it's kept in the background; what I don't want are loud vocals interrupting the mood. I remember the first time I was in one of those Chi-Chi's mexican chain restaurants when I was a kid. I went into the men's room to piss and suddenly heard a woman singing in spanish. I thought it was the cleaning woman, who I assumed would have been Mexican since it was a mexican restaurant, right? I yelled from my stall, "I'm in here!" and that I would be right out. She kept on singing and ignored me. I assumed she didn't understand english and figured I should just hurry up and leave. When I got out of the stall she wasn't there but I could still hear her happy song. That's when I noticed the ceiling speaker above the stall (I was just a kid and this music-in-the-restroom thing was new to me). Anyway, that terrible experience from my childhood has haunted me to this day :p , which is why, sexually, I prefer music that's as non-evasive as laser surgery.

Godiva, I'd really recommend a live DJ mix compilation...the kind that's recorded at a nightclub or circuit party. That kind of music always sounds like SEX to me. }( The best DJ's create a seamless emotional/dramatic atmosphere through their music and will take you on their trip (and with these CD's, you can do it without having to get high & go to a club). Like I said, I prefer it in the background, but if you turn it up loud, I'm sure it will be just as effective as Meatloaf and Steve Perry in keeping your neighbors out of your bedroom. These are recent releases that will do the trick:

[ul][li]Live @ Roxy ~ Peter Rauhofer

[li]Earth Music 1 & 2 ~ Junior Vasquez

[li]Party Groove: White Party 02 ~ Tracy Young

[li]Remixology ~ Hex Hector [/ul]

OK, I'm outta here.

You're getting me hot with your spanish tongue. :9 Now that you 'splain it to me that way, I'll have to keep Rick bound and gagged (more often) so I can get on line.

Most record stores have a dance/DJ section but Rick and I buy all our CD's online at http://www.deepdiscountcd.com. They have the best prices and free shipping (with no minimum purchase required). Just go there & do a search for the titles above, or use these links I've found for you ('cause I'm that kinda guy):

Peter Rauhofer Live @ Roxy : http://www.deepdiscountcd.com/index.cfm?request=cd.cfm?upc=804616550429

Junior Earth Music 2: http://www.deepdiscountcd.com/index.cfm?request=cd.cfm?upc=661868156027

Hex Hector Remixology: http://www.deepdiscountcd.com/index.cfm?request=cd.cfm?upc=617465111327

Tracy Young's White Party 02 CD is not on deepdiscountcd but they have her on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00007JGQ2/qid=1042090705/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-3901415-6144651?v=glance&s=music

And...I forgot to mention another really good one (actually, Rick's favorite): Live with Jonathan Peters. It really makes you feel like you're at the Sound Factory at 4 AM with your tongue inside a hot boy's mouth & your hand down his pants. }( Here's the link to buy it: http://www.deepdiscountcd.com/index.cfm?request=cd.cfm?upc=732183511225

Interestingly no -- unless you are talking about fruit pies.

Our pie heritage comes from Britain's delicious meat pies -- kidney, ummmmm... x( Leave it to us yanks to to turn the whole affair 'fruity'.

Interesting juxtaposition of pies and culture given the closet proclivities of the English. Although I do like fruit pies, me thinks the British have it right... but the meat I'm into is south of the kidney.:+

Nah, I'm talking 'bout hairpie, and goofing on the fact that Rick's a fruit (Hi Rick). Personally, I haven't had any hairpie lately, but I'm not opposed to it. Fruit pies on the other hand, I can do without, except rhubarb, but I don't think that's a fruit. In any case, I'm probably one of the most unamerican fruits around, and should really be the last to cast...pies.

Bangers, then?

Rick although I did get the Connie Francis joke, I was waiting for you to recommend that chick who sang "Justified and Ancient"..I don't remember who that was..

MMK..You have excellent choices..I would have to put them all on one cd since most of them are singles..Barry White is everyone choice but he reminds me too much of my dad..Hmmm Rick and Tina was an excellent choice but I would forget the sex and start singing Teena Maries' part in Fire and Desire..MMK..you have got to get Teena Maries' Starchild..There is a song she sings with a very talented unknown called "We've Got to stop meeting like this" It puts F and D to shame.

Derrick..thanxs man for splaining it to me ..those sound like some hot choices..Have you guys ever had any problems ordering online from those places? Thats my only concern..

Any way thanxs to you all for your excellent choices..I still need to hear from Hooboy, Jeffoh, Talvin and some of you Canadian boys..cum on give it up...the music that is..}(
