JFK Jr. was definitely a gorgeous, hot, sexy man! What a real tragedy that he died so young. When you look at the pictures of him as John-John the toddler, he was so beautiful that you just knew he'd be a handsome man when he grew up. Of all the Kennedys, I think Jack and Jackie have the best looking children, as Caroline is a beautiful woman. I believe JFK Jr. got the best of both parents, which is why he was a better looking man than his dad, but I think his dad, when he was young and slim and known as Jack is someone I wouldn't have kicked out of my bed! :-)

JFK Jr. was a definite hunk. A gorgeous man. Tragically killed through the dangers of his own extravagant lifestyle.

Alternate scenario: He is not killed. The marriage somehow holds together. The magazine somehow does not fail. His low IQ somehow does not land him in deep doo doo. The hereditary/celebrity political culture becoming so prominent in the US latches on to him. He is elected governor/senator. Staff make decisions, cover for him, and he amiably rises. He is nominated for VP, and somehow his reptilian intelligence does not undermine his still (even-more!) gorgeous graying looks. He is elected, sworn in, and on the death of the Pres. becomes President. Years pass. Staff make decisions, cover for him, and, re-elected, he amiably continues. Years pass. Historians rates George W as "near genius" for careful management of the worst crisis in the US since the Civil War. Historians rate JFK Jr. as "handsomest and dimmest bulb since Warren G. Harding".

He was poster boy perfect. I miss him for that.

Very true!

Well - it's a stretch but OK, lets assume this is true.

>and somehow his reptilian intelligence........

Unkind but probably not that far off the mark!

>Years pass. Historians rates George W as "near genius" for careful

Hold on a sec. "near genius"? I don't think so............

>Historians rate JFK Jr. as "handsomest and dimmest bulb since

>Warren G. Harding".

Probably true - remember how many times he had to try his bar exams!

Scarier still. He doesn't assume the presidency by default. He is voted in by the hoards of women and gays who let their crotch control their brain - don't laugh, Jesse Ventura managed it. Not sure it was his looks but it sure wasn't his IQ.

>He was poster boy perfect. I miss him for that.

I agree.

If you were to die, what would you rather be remembered for, your beauty or your brains?

> was jfk.jr. gay?

Who knows? I'd vote "no"

And don't forget, his mother would never allow him to be! Gays were accepted in her circle for their amusement value, but to be one? Horrors!!!!!!

But I think he was very much aware of his beauty and was a bit of an exhibitionest.

I have always thought he could wear a dark blue suit better than any other man on earth.

Really? What about her sister's last husband, the late choreographer/director Herbert Ross (Funny Lady, Footloose, The Secret of My Success)? Even though it was his second marriage, by all accounts Ross was a bit on the fey side.

Of course if John-John made it to president on looks along despite the lack of brainpower, the liberal press would never go after him like they did W. They would have gone ga-ga over some "Camelot dynasty" being continued - a most un American concept if there ever was one.

Dan -- my point exactly. As long as he's a Democrat, 2/3 of the major press and "intelligentsia" don't care what they have -- an eggplant with legs will do. A major stud? It would be heaven for them!

I agree - but Jackie probably had no choice in the selection. If she had I'd bet he would have been given a "thumbs down". It's one thing to have a sister marry one and quite a different thing to have spawned one. Can you just see her condoning JJ walking hand in hand with his lover in a Pride Parade? I don't think so!

when i asked if he was gay i did not mean openly gay. i bet a lot of the readers of this site are very much in the closet. but maybe he had places where he had anonymous encounters. well i am not american and i was not very interested in him, i stood beside him once in the ""hermes"" boutique in nyc. and i later knew why all the sales ladies were only interested in him and not in me, who was interested in a black lizard wallet. mine had been stolen at zabars that morning>!!well he was a beauty. probably with a big dick and a bubble hairy ass. and married to a very cold looking bitchy fish. but thats life.

I attended a Kennedy Charity 15 years ago where John John

made a very brief appearance. To be honest, I had

purposely bought a ticket to this function so that I

could meet him in person. I'll never forget how beautiful

he was in person. It was amazing...as he entered the room, he

oozed such charisma. I don't believe anyone on this earth

has even a fraction of his charisma.

He stayed only a few minutes while cameras followed his every

move...flashing like crazy. As he went to the coat check area,

I summoned the nerve to make a mad dash over to him to say

hello.

I was so shy, but I forced myself to introduce

myself to him. He looked at me, smiled ,shook my hand, and said,

"Hi. I'm John."

He had the best of his mother's grace and his father's charisma, that's for sure. Only met him once, and the aura just bowled me over.

I've often wondered, though, if he hadn't been "John Jr." whether anyone would have ever noticed him.

I think so. He may not have been in the public eye so much, but I’m sure he would have been noticed. He was a beautiful man regardless of his lineage.

I have to admit that his was the only celebrity death that I have ever felt anything about. He was a just a year younger than me, and since he was always in the public eye, I felt like I grew up with him. I completely bought into that “American royalty” thing and he was the crown prince.

I remember a brother-in-law of mine grumbling because they were spending so much money to retrieve his body and that they wouldn’t do the same for him. We actually got in an argument because I told him there were only thirty or forty people in the whole world that cared about him, but there were probably millions mourning John and they goddamned better find his body. Not a particularly sensitive thing to say, but I’m sure I was not alone in feeling like our prince had just died.

NYC is a great place to be.. You run into these celebrities all the time.. I remember when his mother died and there was a stake out at her apt. I was one of the people in the stands. I had my video camera with me that day and when he came out to make the announcement we all just about died..He also waved at us from the balcony.

I also remember when they were dedicating some part of Grand Central Station to his mom. I was on my way home from work to catch a train. I noticed all these well dressed people in a roped off area. I asked the guard what was going on and all he did was point.. JJ was being interviewed with his wife behind him...... aaaaahhh such a waste

An aside..I know this may sound dumb..but the longer he stayed single the longer I had hoped that...well you know what I mean..When he was seeing the many girls I was always pissed and always hoped they would break up..But for some reason when he started dating Caroline ..I did not mind her that much...Do you know what I mean..

Definitely an insightful point. However, I kind of agree with your friend that if it had been anyone except the son of Jack Kennedy, that the money spent and the use of the national military resources to find his body would never have been spent on another person, celebrity or not. This search IMHO was instigated at the considerable influence of the Kennedy family and should have been paid for (maybe they did, I don't know) by them and not by the American taxpayers.

I also think that they rushed to cremate his remains, with burial at sea, most likely to avoid scandal and legal retribution from his wife's family. Once again, just idle speculation on my part, as I have no illusions of being Oliver Stone, and on the other hand, as I have learned from a coworker who recovered the bodies of the astronauts from the space shuttle disaster, it takes only one day at the bottom of the ocean to render a body into a disgusting sight from the ravishes of being fed on by the ocean life. EEWW, that is so sickening! So, I can only assume the best in this in regards to the actions of Uncle Ted. Camelot, however once again IMHO, will never die as long as the princess, Caroline is still alive (witness all the scandal sheets like National Enquirer and Star). I have no problem with this as it was the last time there was true innocence and hope in the American spirit and conciousness.

>had charisma...

In light of the generally accepted view that John Jr. was not the brightest bulb, I find it hard to accept that the guy had real charisma. He may have been a hunk to many, althought IMHO, he never turned my crank, but I don't recall that he ever said a memorable thing. His father, on the other hand, had incredible charm and an easy wit, which together with his handsome visage imparted a true charisma. Still, I accept the fact that JFK, Jr. was a heartthrob to many women and gays, so go figure.

I sort of figure that the hoopla about how dumb he was was just that: hoopla. I guess the dude was no genius, but then so few of us are. :) But what he did have, and in abundance, was CLASS. We lived in the same neighborhood. I saw him a lot. He was always gracious, polite and genuinely seemed to be in awe of things. Sometimes when we're too smart, we get jaded. John was not that.

Do you guys really think that he was dumb...? I just think that his not so brilliant moments were always captured and exploited by a jealous conservative press who were pissed that he was constantly receiving more ink than some of their elected duds..oh and he just happened to be Gorgeous..He knew exactly what he was doing at all times..

RE: America's Prince

>FYI.. The John F. Kennedy Jr. story is on TBS tonight at

>8pm.

By the way - what did you think of it?

I thought the actor playing John (don't remember the name) had a very handsom face, but he was SO skinny! Legs like toothpicks and absolutely no ass at all!
