We have come to that time when it’s necessary to make more definite plans for the festivities. Specifics will not be posted here, in order to preserve confidentiality. Therefore, if you are serious about attending this year’s events, please send me an e-mail (not a private message) through this site, with your return e-mail address so that I may send you the pertinent information as it unfolds. Your confidential information will be respected, as I expect mine to be. Dinner reservations will be the first order of business, followed later by RSVP’s for the pool event at my condo.

 

If you will be bringing a “guest”, please tell me who. That information will also be kept confidential. Attendance by escorts (by themselves or as someone's "guest") is greatly encouraged.

 

If you will be coming from out-of-town and need accommodations, you should arrange for those ASAP. There have been several suggestions put forth in the previous thread concerning possible accommodations.

 

Again, the dinner will be Saturday, March 24, and the pool event will be in the afternoon of Sunday, March 25.

Another reason to come to PSW #8

 

I decided to help Oliver out by accompanying him to xxx to size up the waitstaff. I'm happy to report that my recommendations -- several waiters, a host, and a busboy -- will make it difficult for attendees to take any notice whatsoever of the food they are served. (For that reason, Oliver may, in fact, dispense with the food entirely and let the staff serve the tables in other ways. :))

A most interesting idea...never thought of picking out waitstaff.

 

I didn't know when I saw a restaurant review and they reviewed the food and the "service" that they were talking about that kind of "service". Heck I'll take a Big Mac and HOT SERVICE any day

I know Oliver is extremely busy with our function, family visisits, and other activities, but I would say that your response has been noted and our gracious host has made room for you and will get back to you with with further details as they are finalized further.

 

Not to worry. Oliver takes this event and invitees very seriously

I think he meant hike to a secluded desert/mountain location and then "eat" and "excercise"

Hell yeah!

If anyone ever needs a porter/sherpa with benefits let me know.

No extra charge for carrying both our packs! Plus I know how to forage and cook over an open fire.

Not that I expect food alone to sate that "big" appetite.
