I just submitted my review of my fiasco in LA. I'm a bit nervous because it's only the 2nd review that I've done and it was soooo bad.

Has there ever been any type of ramifications of submitting a bad review? I know I'm clear across the country, but this guy seemed kind of crazy and I just want to forget the whole thing ever happened, not worry about him calling and/or doing some weird type of retribution.

Well the "Working Guy" does have the opportunity to RESPOND to your Review. If you told it like it was that's the purpose of a Review..Good/Bad or whatever.

As far as retribution other than possibly telling you to go "Screw Yourself" in an email..IF he even remembers who you are since LaLaLand is very much a revolving door of Clients. I seriousy doubt it will go any further. My advice would be to "Read and Delete" if you feel your Review was Honest IF you ever hear from him. ;)

I wouldn't worry about it—I've heard drowning is actually very peaceful.

EB... I am simply glad that you had the guts to submit a bad review. I had a bad experience many years ago before I joined the forum and even though I knew down deep that it was not my fault, I still blamed myself and decided not to submit a well deserved bad review.

I was lurking here at the time... and then read a few months later that this bozo was pulling the same crap with multiple other clients. Damn it! If I had blown the whistle on the guy perhaps I could have saved some others a bit of cold hard cash!

So I applaud you for what you have done... and take Brooklyn Guy's advice... Plus, just knowing you from your forum persona we can tell that you are an honest person... so I doubt that you have anything to fear... Furthermore, you also seem like a tough dude... so I doubt he would pull any "weird type of retribution"...

That's what this place is for... so kudos for doing your "civic duty"!

ErieBear, I have occasionally submitted a bad review, although I prefer t just let bad encounters pass. Once I never submitted the review, but the escorts involved went after me on the forum here when I wrote something not so glowing about them, and then suffered a few weeks of angry e-mails and postings in my box here from them.

One reason to keep anonymous in these encounters is to prevent such backlash (and most escorts never tell us their real names anyway so it is a two-way street).

The bottom line is that when someone courageously submits a true negative review he performs a service for the other members here. How often have I found myself considering someone, and then I see a negative review or chat here on the forums about the guy, and his name is quickly removed from my list!

Thanks. I think the that bothers me the most is that he threatened violence. And I think about how would I feel if he hurt someone else because I didn't submit a review. That pushed me over the top.

Very good of you to take the potential of violence to others into consideration and I personally thank you for that. We have to watch out for others in our community. Having said that, your safety and privacy is certainly important and you need to assess how at risk you might be. If you feel vulnerable after considering how exposed you potentially are to his retribution, and only you can make that evaluation, then perhaps it is worthwhile to request Daddy to consider how best to address the issue. Perhaps he can make some suggestions.

I've submitted a couple of negative reviews and never had any issues come back to me but I've taken certain precautions always to try to keep my identity a secret from the guys I hire. Not saying there aren't ways for them to harass me if they really want to but I try to make it as difficult as possible for them to do so, making it not worth their time and effort.

Are you willing to state who it was via PM? Contact me via PM anyway, please. I just sent you one from our previous dicussion.

We never know what crazy things other people may do, whether strangers or family, and whether provoked or not. However, the likelihood that he would retaliate against you in any serious way is pretty small. I once gave an only mildly positive review to an escort who also was a poster here, and he hounded me in emails and in threads here until I PMed him, explaining what I COULD honestly have said if I had wanted to go negative; that shut him up. I have never had any retaliation for a negative review. If your escort responds to Daddy's notification about the review, most readers will be able to make their own decisions about him from his response.

Well, I doubt that he will care that much about me, but you never know. Thankfully I've also had a couple really, really good experiences as well. And now, they're just getting better!

What goes around...

IMO, it really is imprudent to use your forum username to write any review. If you do, you write at your own risk. I realize that certain men get an ego thrill out of playing loose with their anonymity. If you live by the sword...

I don't see how anyone could do much damage (beyond annoyance) if they just know your Forum name? You can always ignore their posts and private messages.

Oh yeah? You're making the assumption that someone is going to be hateful from the get-go. What about someone who acts friendly, takes their time, and gets you to reveal personal information bit by bit because they seem nice and understand what you're going through as a new client?

"Hey dude, give me a shout sometime... I need to get your advice about a problem I had with an escort, and I really need someone I can talk to. Do you mind calling me?"

"Hey dude, you seem like such a cool, funny guy. Do you want to meet somewhere near your place for a drink sometime? I've love to pick your brain about escorting."

And so on...

And the next escort I meet could follow me to my car and get my license plate or follow me home or do all sorts of unpleasant things to me at the end of our encounter.

YOU could be using your anonymity here to build relationships that would enable you to do what you've just described, since any of us could hire you under your escort name without realizing you're maxwellissmart.

Every action we take - including participating on this board - has *some risk. We all make our own individual risk assessments and weigh them against the benefits.

I think your scenarios are very unlikely.

It takes guts to write a negative review.

As Charlie said above you never know what crazy people can do. If that particular (let's call him "hustler") was treathining you with breaking the TV in your hotel room, you cannot predict what he can possibly do when the review is published on DR. It's wise to never respond back to any nasty emails or phone calls. Daddy is pretty good at protecting your anonymity here. In the worst case scenario you might just have to change your phone number and locks. :p

Or join the witness protection program... and relocate... well we all do know that you live two hours north of Pittsburgh...:)

Or make a negative comment about a escort. If you do, the sycophants and 'spokespersons' come out of the woodwork, even aboard their Citation X...

Are you trashing that excellent Chevy Citation?!

is your obvious jealousy from the fact that you can't afford to hire top guys frequently or that you'll never travel by private jet? I wonder.

I didn't know your boi BN was a 'top', after the sling session in the garage. Private jet? I only go PUBLIC CHARTER jets by Richards Aviation in Memphis...
