Long story short I came across some airline credits (about $300) that I need to use before April. I'm kind of at a loss on where to go. I have to keep travel within the United States. So where should I head out to? I'm in Chicago so I'm within a stones throw of everything. If it matters the credit is on United.

Greg

The question is: what do you want to do? If you want to work it, go to NY or SF. If you want to rest, go someplace sunny and warm, like Palm Springs or Miami. Is there someplace that you have always wanted to see, but wouldn't want to spend the money to get there? Do it, whether it's Fargo or Washington, DC. Be spontaneous.

I was thinking NYC but every time I've tried to go something has happened to keep me from going. NOLA sounds sounds. I do love me some down home southern creole cooking. I didn't care for Miami when I was there. I don't do enough steroids and other drugs (as in I don't do them at all) to fit in or look like I fit in. Anyone have some east coast suggestions for skiing maybe?

If you are interested in doing some skiing why no fly to Albuquerque, N.M. You might consider renting a car and driving up to Taos where there is some very nice skiing. You could also spend a couple of days in Santa Fe, one of the most interesting cities in the U.S. If you don’t want to rent a car there are shuttles available to both places.

A lot of popular ski areas don't have enough snow this year (forget the Sierras in northern California, for instance), so be sure to check the forecasts before you make a decision. If you go to NYC, there are lots of bus trips on the weekends to the major ski resorts in Vermont, or to the cheaper ones in the Poconos.

Show some skin.

If I had to endure Chicago winters, I'd want to go someplace warm. The first thing that comes to mind is that famous party that Lucky hosts in Palm Springs. Not only could you work on a sexy tan line, you could have lots of fun with the guys who attend. You might also end up being someone's favorite special guest. You could go home with more cash than you had when you arrived, and the exposure could be great for future business.

NYC has a sea of escorts. If you want to work while you're on "vacation" here, you have to financially plan a trip with no illusions. The competition is extremely fierce and you could go home without making a dime. On top of that, NYC is insanely expensive. You can go through money like it's water in no time at all. If you can't stay at someone's fabulous apartment, forget it. NYC hotels are a wallet suck. And I wouldn't want to be stuck out in the burbs.

I can't help you with skiing. I'm not a cold-weather sports kind of guy.

I like Florida but I don't like visiting there on the cheap.

Just a quick correction: Lucky does not host the event in Palm Springs. Oliver does, and we are very grateful to him for it.

Thank you for the correction, Charlie. I've never attended so I'm not good for the details. Maybe we can call Lucky "Mistress of Ceremonies." That seems fitting. :-)

As Charlie said, it depends on what your goal is, business or pleasure or both. If it were me, I'd go some place I haven't been before. Trip Advisor is usually good for ideas.

I'd like to suggest something unexpected: Savannah, Georgia. It's a charming city with wonderful restaurants. You've probably never see anything like it, unless you've been there before or perhaps Charleston, S.C.

I can't speak to the working opportunities there, but if you're just looking for a way to use your miles, that's one idea.

Another idea that could combine work and fun: Austin and San Antonio. It will be decently warm there, and you ought to be able to mix business and pleasure there. They're both GREAT cities.

Charlie, I'm with you. Your suggestions are timely and are similar to what I thought while reading the preceding posts! Wherever you go, Seaboy, make the best of it. Take lots of pics to put up on your

Facebook page! This is something that my favorite escort and friend always does, and he travels a lot for culture as well as pleasure. In fact, I can't keep up with him because he's always on the road! -:) -:) -:)

I am leaning more towards DC. NOLA sounds fun but I think DC is winning. I just hope I can keep my mouth shut if things work out and not get myself arrested or put on the terrorist watch list >:)

Little danger of becoming a de facto terrorist. :) However, the suggestion of CHS, Charleston, SC or SAV, Savannah, GA has a lot of merit also. Good seafood, etc. Not a bad deal. :)

Best regards,
