I have 2..

#1 When I was a lad...my sisters and I used to listen to this program on the radio at night. It was "Mystery Theatre" Macbre hosted by EG Marshall. We would go to sleep with that on everynight.

Has anyone here heard of that radio program and do you know if it can be purchased?

#2..Many years ago there was a brief pilot on NBC called 2004 Malibu Rd. I believe Donna Mills was the star. It only ran maybe 5 episodes and then they canceled the show. It was bad but there was this big blond muscle dude in the show that I have never forgotten. Do you remember the show and the actor?

Quick Aside...Hey Rick..I ran into Nick Ashford of Asford and Simpson...writers of many hits for Miss Ross on the street on 5th ave yesterday. I just told him that I enjoyed his music. He was very kind and said thank you and gave me an autograph. Nice guy...

Les as usual you are a dream. I too would curl up under my covers and listen to the show. The worse part for me was that when it was over I always had to get up out of my bed and go half way across the room and turn the radio off. I was always scared as shit. We also had to keep the radio down because my parents didn't allow it on after a certain hour.

Deej check out the links Les provided..They are extremely useful..

Thanxs again Les;)

When I was a kid there was this show called the CBS Radio Mystery Theatre -- Tammy Grimes narrated it. She had the perfect throaty voice for presenting murder mysteries. It would come on late Friday nights and I'd sit in the dark and listen to it on my headphones. The show went away not long after I discovered it -- not sure if the network stopped producing it or the affiliate just stopped carrying it.

What a blast from the past! Thanks, Les!

The first time I heard that screeeeeeeeeeechy door in the intro and E.G. Marshall's introduction, I felt like a child huddled under the covers again.

Can't wait to have more time to explore those links!

Below is a link to a site about 2000 Malibu Road, a short-lived show starring Lisa Hartman, Drew Barrymore, Tuesday Knight, and others about a retired call girl who brought in roommates so she could keep her house. Don't know which of the guys is your blond muscle dude, but perhaps this will give you a start.

Also "not to be missed" is Harry's huge bulge in the front. He looks like he is very well hung. All in all a hottie who could make millions doing jeans commercials. Fans can also see him on the new "Will and Grace" episodes!

Hey Fuckamarine...if you liked "Hope Floats" then you will love the old movie "Smooth Talk" which is where I fell in love with a very hunky and handsome Treat Williams while he was trying to seduce Laura Dern. I swear that I felt like I was her in the house and he was on the porch seducing mio..I haven't been able to find that one on DVD yet:9

Penelope Pitstop from Wacky Races (which I know from Cartoon Network)(which I love almost as much as I love Game Show Network & TV Land & Nick@Nite). Btw, I didn't see any of these shows when they were first aired. Do I lose points for cheating? :p
