Swinging Richard's in N. Miami

 

The new Swinging Richard's in Miami is a very nice bar, and we had a good time last night. The building was formerly a black female stripper bar, and it is well designed. It is well lighted, with a large covered portico at the entrance. Last night, it was raining and two young men with umbrellas were at the front door and went to meet each car and escort guests drily to the door. There is a large, safe parking lot. It is not part of a strip mall; there is a P.F. Chang's across the street. Biscayne Boulevard is very wide here, three or four lanes in each direction, with islands and palm trees in the center.

 

The ad for opening did not make it into Hotspots Magazine in time for publication last week, so the only publicity was word-of-mouth and friends of dancers. The ad will appear in Hotspots next week. When we arrived shortly after 9:00 p.m., there were three customers and five dancers. By 9:30 there were eight customers and seven dancers; by 10:00, there were a dozen customers, and by 10:30 the crowd was too big to count and there were 16 dancers. Clubs go late in Miami, and although we stayed until midnight, I don't know what kind of crowds or how many dancers would be there from midnight until 6:00 a.m., perhaps more. The club is closed on Mondays.

 

Cover charge is $10 after 8:00 and free before. There is one very large room, which is well decorated and runs north to south. There is one bar along the west side and another, horseshow bar, at the north end. The main stage with pole is along the west wall, and then there is a raised platform with a shelf for drinks and chairs all around in the center of the room to the south. There are many comfortable chairs and other seats and benches all along the walls, so most customers are seated. Drinks are moderate in price. There is a Lap Dance Room in the SE corner, up two steps. It is a small open room completely surrounded by mirrors and a couch which runs all around the side. The door to the main room is open, so people can look in and watch, if interested. At the north end is an area of VIP Rooms, which I assume are small enclosures with doors. Lap dances cost $10 for wrist band (good for all night) and $20 per song. Dancers will perform nude, but no touching is allowed. The VIP Rooms promise "unlimited delights" and start at $140 and then go up. The amount is set by the dancer and customer over whatever the dancer agrees to.

 

There were several women in the club, and a few dancers paid a lot of attention to them, although most dancers seemed to just accept them as part of the crowd.

 

The performance schedule is that a dancer performs for three songs. In the first song he is wearing long pants but shirtless. In the second song, he strips down to his briefs (usually). And the third song varies. Some dancers, like Alex and Dimitri and A.J. immediately stripped completely and performed in the nude. Some dancers (Brad, Figi, Keegan) never took off their long pants. A number of dancers spend their time teasing. They lower their briefs half inch by half inch and occasionally show cock and ass, but only for very brief periods. Brad, Figi, and Keegan never showed themselves completely. I do not know if this changes much later in the evening/morning. After 10:30, there were always three dancers performing at a time- one on the main stage with pole (although none of the dancers used the pole) and two on the platform stage. You tip the dancers $1 tips while they are onstage, but no touching is allowed. All dancers have armbands, and you must tuck the tip into the armband. After their set the dancers walk around the room and chat with customers and suggest lap dances or VIP room. They all wear long pants, jeans, as they walk around. The only exception was Dimitri who walked around in his briefs.

 

Several of the dancers were from Atlanta and came down for a week or two to help the new place get started. One bartender told me that 40 guys had applied to dance, but he did not know how many were accepted. Among the dancers last night were:

 

ALEX was a short, muscular young dancer from Secrets in Washington, D.C. He was very pleasant, with a very nice body, full ripe ass, well hung, good pecs, and he told me about the club. Recommended.

A.J. is a young former Marine from California, who has danced in several cities. He had a beautiful, muscular body completely shaved and enjoyed showing it off. Very nice pecs and abdomen, sweet full ass, nice legs. Friendly and helpful also.

RENZO is from Chicago and has danced in several places. He was also a little stocky, muscular, solid thighs and legs, nice full ass, and good endowment. Pleasant, but a little shy.

 

DIMITRI was from Miami and one of the most outgoing guys and very friendly. Perhaps 5'11" with a swimmer's build and some workout at the gym, nice pecs and abs, very nice round ass, well endowed, totally smooth, some tattoos, and he wore cowboy boots - but that is all, from the late second song and throughout the third. Recommended.

KEEGAN was one of the two twinks dancing, a thin little blond from the Atlanta club. Considerable attitude and never took off his briefs or showed his assets. In talking, however, he was pleasant and not goofy.

BENJY was the other twink, and also from Atlanta. He was dark haired, slender but attractive, and he did strip all the way during the third song. Not greatly endowed, but smooth, sweet, honest and open and pleasant to talk with.

 

BRAD was a tall, good looking blond with shaggy hair and what appeared to be a very nice body, but he never took his clothes off. The mantra from the D.J. was "Tip to make them strip," and Brad apparently followed it. But since he showed nothing, he never got a tip from anyone. So he wouldn't take anything off. So he got no tips. It was a little unpleasant and foolish.

ALEXANDER was the biggest and most muscular of all the dancers. He was huge and obviously worked out a lot. He also had more tattoos than I usually see on guys like that. He stripped all the way and performed the Stock Stomp.

FRANCO was the other really big, muscular guy. He had a much more honed and perfect body, totally shaved. Big thighs, powerful chest, full round ass, good chest and pecs. Everything was there and he stripped fully now and then, although he always kept his hands on his briefs. But he did not seem very friendly, never smiled, and performed the Stock Stomp, as a number of the dancers did.

 

 

ORLANDO could have been nice, but maybe he was acting for Halloween. He was unshaved, wore slovenly clothes, huge glasses, and had tattoos, Also considerable attitude and lowered his briefs only quickly once.

CHRISTOPHER was a gorgeous young man from the Dominican Republic. He had perhaps the perfect body, wonderfully sculpted, and he obviously worked out a lot. I suppose he is a gym bunny, but a little on the short side and not massive at all. He was completely shaved and oiled; when I went to put the tip in his armband, my hand slid all the way down his arm which was very slick. He was also friendly and charming. He spent a lot of time with customers. Recommended.

SEAN was a handsome and charming young man with a nice natural body that was also better than average - very nice proportions, good legs, handsome face, nice chest with some development, and nice ass. He had light peach fuzz on his legs and ass, so he must not have been too old. Very pleasant to talk with and eager for lap dances.

 

 

DAVID was a pleasant young man and stripped all the way, and I think he was from the Atlanta club. But he was a little chubby and had a tummy. He seemed nice, but the sex appeal was not so strong. He stripped all the way.

FIGI was from Cuba and pleasant. He had a nice natural body with a little muscular development. He seemed pleasant, wore no underwear, but never showed more than a little of his shaved pubes.

RICK was a very solid, muscular, big blond guy who also wore cowboy boots. I saw him perform on the main stage, and he walked around the pole a lot, but he never used it. He did strip down completely in the second song, and walked around with the Stock Stomp in total nudity for the third song. He seemed pleasant; a number of people went up to tip him; and he certainly had the nude muscles for those who like them.

 

All the staff, doormen, bartenders, and busboys were very friendly and pleasant, no attitude. They said they were still experimenting since Miami was different from Atlanta, and so things might change in the future. It seems like a very nice place with all the right moves so far.

 

My directions above were correct. It is about 15 miles south of Fort Lauderdale on I 95. Get off at the Ives Dairy/ 203rd St. exit and go east for one mile. Then turn right (south) and go down to 17450. Biscayne Boulevard is very broad here and traffic moves quickly, at least at night. The club is on the right side. You can get off at the 186th St exit and others, but I 95 has moved much further to the west here and there are many traffic lights to go through to get to Biscayne Blvd. (also Highway #1).

 

This is a very nice addition to South Florida, and we wish them well.

2. I remembered the name of the 16the dancer, COLIN, who is a tall, handsome, rugged blond. His hair is somewhat long and shaggy, but he must work out in the gym daily. He looks most like a gym bunny with a beautiful body, face, pecs, abs, ass, legs; he has it all physically.

I also would like to know what you meant by "no touching" during a nude lap dance. Are you saying you can't touch the dancer at all, or, just his private parts? And, how is that enforced?

 

Some of the dancers you mentioned have worked in NY. I agree with your assessment of Christopher. He's a hot looking guy. There are pics of him on the Adonis lineups.

Lap Dances

 

As the dancers explained to me, they dance right in front of your nose completely naked. So you can look to your heart's content. But you may not touch them anyplace, only look. And three of them said the management really means that, and they will be fired if caught allowing any touching. I'm not sure about enforcement, except that the room is open to anyone in the main room for watching. So in theory and practice, they are open to observation by everyone.

 

As the dancers explained to me, the only way to touch is to take a VIP Room and then, (almost) anything goes.

 

[Now we all know that theory and practice are two different things, but I did not want to cause a possible ruckus last night and get thrown out on my first visit. And I never want to endanger a dancer's job. But I may try something on another visit.]

So to sum up what has been said:

 

Pay $10.00 to enter.

 

If a dancer strikes your fancy, there are 2 options: You can pay $10.00 for a wrist band and then $20.00 per song for a dance in a small room, filled with other patrons and dancers, lined with mirrors, that is completely open and devoid of any privacy. The dancer is naked, and you can only watch. Touching is absolutely VERBOTEN. The other option, if you desire some privacy, is to pay $140+ for 15 minutes; touching is permitted.

 

Both of the above options require sitting in a smoke-filled bar, breathing in someone else's toxic carcinogens while the smoke gets in your lungs, hair, pores, etc. not to mention stinking up your clothes. Add this to the likelihood of sitting at a table next to a group of 20-something year old females, screaming their lungs out, making spectacles of themselves, wearing tight skirts and way too much makeup, with whom you will be competing for the attention of your favorite dancer.

 

The obvious question is why anyone would pay $20 for a lap dance (and $10 for the wrist band) if all you can do is sit back and watch the dancer while other customers can gawk into the room from a few feet away and view the same for free? You can watch them dance naked just by sitting in the club watching them perform on stage. Would anyone actually pay $20 every 4 minutes just for a closer look? Am I missing something?

 

The club sounds absolutely dreadful! I won't be wasting any gas money driving down from my haunts in Lauderdale unless and until major changes are implemented.

 

Looks like I'll also be spending more time in Canada this winter. Speaking of which, I wonder why none of the clubs use the Montreal strip bars as their business model. Any chance that Stock Bar will open up a second location in sunny Florida?

Was there Sunday... Lots of the ATL guys were there and it was a little slow, but that is why ATL is closed on Sunday anyway so Miami should be slow as well.

 

The options are about the same as in ATL but the club is much smaller. You can look and tip in the main room, more intimate contact in the back (common) room or what ever happens, happens in the VIP rooms. Same options as in ATL.

 

I've never had a bad night at SRs in ATL or Miami now. I liked the slower night as I had more contact [ ] with the guys I like.

 

Not as big as ATL but just as good. FT. Lauderdale was a bust at Boardwalk and Johny's where they don't ever get naked. Boardwalk was better than Johny's but both were no where close to SRs in quality and fun.

I have a question about the VIP rooms. What EXACTLY can or is allowed to go on there? I read "unlimited delights" and "(almost) anything goes." But at $140 per 15 mins, that is $560 an hour. Doesn't it make more sense to hire an escort with full privacy and about half the price for a full hour? I'd appreciate any insight you guys can provide! Feel free to contact me directly.

I was at the ATL Swinging Richards for three nights - this past Veterans Day weekend - and the no touching rule depends on the dancer and how crowded the club is. There was intimate touching between a few dancers and myself in one of the darker areas of the main showroom on Thursday-Friday ($10 table dances). Most dancers would get "wood" and allow intimate touching, if you paid for the $10 wristband and were in the VIP Lounge ($20 dances). However, most of those dances were on bar stools, not on sofas or lounge chairs as pictured on the club's website. I was surprised that the dancers would grope me to see if I had an erection. I did not do the $140 sessions in the VIP rooms, but the area did seem private and dark on the nights that I attended. The customers did come out with a satisfied look. I was really surprised to see that Ryan, one of my favorite dancers from Dicks Cabaret in PHX, is now at SR on Friday and Saturday nights. He goes by Miller now. I enjoyed my three nights at SR and look forward to visiting the Miami club in December. My one wish is that Georgia would join the 21st century and ban smoking in nightclubs.

I just went to SR Atlanta twice, on consecutive nights about a year & a half ago. I look for something different going to a strip club vs. hiring an escort. If you want the lovin', touchin' & squeezin', then hire an escort. Thanks to this site, just about anyone can find a quality escort for $200-300 for an hour (and most of the good ones aren't clock-watchers) that you click with. You might strike out a few times or have to travel a bit if you're in a remote area, but you'll find one (or two, or three ...) eventually. When I go to a strip club, I go for the spectacle. I love watching naked men, preferably fit, handsome, bubble-butted naked men. I do the $20 dances in the SR VIP lounge because at some point (depending on the beauty of the dancer and my intake of alcohol), I gotta get up close & personal. I did the $140 backroom "private session" with two different dancers, a disappointment both times because you just don't get enough bang for your buck, imho. You're better off hiring an escort. Although a night at SR's can get pricey, as much as an hour with an escort if you spend freely at the bar and in the VIP lounge, I had a great time and look forward to going back to Atlanta and exploring FLL for the first time. But if you're looking for the satisfaction of an escort experience in the SR private rooms, you'll probably end up unsatisfied, or at best, satisfied but having spent way too much money.
