The NY Times reports today that the producers of Priscilla are going to be offering money-back guarantees, a rather unprecedented thing on Broadway. This is an effort to combat slow sales against mega-hit Book of Mormon and the new Cirque show at Radio City.

Several shows are closing this weekend, including Catch Me If You Can and Baby, It's you.

Sister Act is revamping its advertising, and even Billy Elliott is eliminating profanity and making attempts to have the actors' English accents better understood by the audience.

Group sales are the focus of much of the attention. Earlier I reported the 2 for 1 promotion being offered in September by many big musicals.

Nick Adams is a totally luscious muscle boy who can sing and dance to beat the band, and he's alone worth the price of admission to see Priscilla. The show is touted for its costumes, but it's at its best when Nick is undraped. Tongues hang out throughout the hall.

Nick has been very buff for quite awhile. He's the guy they made wear a hoodie/sweatshirt in "A Chorus Line" several year ago when Mario Lopez was stunt cast so his arms didn't compete with Mario's. And he been in quite a few Broadway Bares. He did La Cage right before Priscilla and looked much the same to me - no way you'd ever think he really was a woman with that muscularity.
