In this month's Details magazine is a feature on foods that they say are useful for improving erections. Admittedly, this is not a journal of medicine but the feature and its list of foods is interesting:

Thanks Nate~

FUn articles~

Ya~ goods for great wood~

Things with high magnesium and zinc work great. A few things not listed in the articles ir red raspberries, blueberries and emergen-"C"'s.

Been using those things in my diet for years. Got my original recipes from a girl who I used to date that was a Play Boy Bunny~ She put me on a diet to make my man honey taste good one way or another.... one diet for more salty, one for more sweet.

Lecithin gives you a bigger load. Things high in zinc make it whiter. Great for guys in film. It shows up better.

Too much of one thing or another can change the scent, taste, viscosity and/or volume.

It's good to know the foods but understanding the balance of combining them to make it all work is also helpful~

ie. lower intake of certain kinds of fats with these foods and avoiding onions.

Lots of tips for cooking up a hot main course or dessert~

I love onions - is that what I'm doing wrong?

In ayurvedic medicine onions are used as a sort of aphrodisiac therapy (vajikarana) and onions along with other alliums are considered to help with libido, erections and spermatogenesis. But consumption of onions etc are avoided in a sattivic diet and excessive or unbalanced use is considered harmful to health and clarity and calmness of mind.

IMHO, unless one is eating enormous amounts of onions and NOT eating lots of other fresh fruits and vegetables or eating lots of processed foods, I wouldn't worry about it. I love onions, garlic, leeks, shallots etc but try to take breaks from their consumption now and then. Oh and it is interesting that some vajikaranas would seem to balance onion use with asparagus. Though that seems usually asparagus racemosa (shatavari) although at least some of the properties of asparagus racemosa seem to exist in asparagus officinalis. Seems there is some interesting research into medicinal properties of asparagus including how it effects urine and why many people seem unable to smell it.
