I find myself with an extra ticket for the off Broadway play Unnatural Acts which is getting raves in the Theater section. The ticket is for tomorrow night, 7/28. The play is at 8 and the theater is on 13th between 3rd and 4th. Anyone care to join me. No strings attached. Send me an private message here. I will be checking back periodically.

i've never been to the theatre blindfolded. it sounds like fun! although some might argue, a bit unnatural.

i'm already booked from 4 to 10 tomorrow, otherwise i would be all over this.

and oh yeah, i'm glad you found yourself! i've been looking for you for a while now....

PC Did you say that the ticket included post show "entertainment" by Dave (AKA Rockin)? That would make a perfect birthday gift plus you get to see a show.

p.s. on another note, I think it's somewhat sad if you can't find anybody to go with you after posting on the board. Surely there must be one person who would go with pk for a little bit of time.

Still no takers. Play is at 8 PM 13th between 3rd and 4th. As for putting out, i have a bit of a cold and I am not feeling 100% so I believe my response would be, not tonight i have a headache.

Well no luck giving away this ticket. Should anyone decide they would like to see the play, I will be at the box office picking up the tickets. Will be wearing a coral colored shirt and a brown billed Alaska baseball cap. Hope someone decides to use the ticket.

Well, it seems like Purple Cow didn't end up getting anyone to use the ticket. What a shame!!! I wish I could have been able to get to the city and have a great evening at a play with a wonderful gentleman. Kudos to you Mr. Rockin (another name) for expressing interest early and giving a realistic reason why you coudn't attend. You are a true GENTLEMAN

how sad

Yes..I agree that it's a shame nobody would go with PK. That makes me so very sad. For a second there I thought JJ had expressed interest but I guess it didn't work out. I try so hard to help people out on the forums when I can..my hope is that people do that with others when they can too.

Well I have just returned from the play and it was magnificent. Try and see it if you can before it closes in the next few days. My extra ticket was returned to the box office and sold quickly to rather good looking younger man, younger than me anyway We had a nice conversation before the play and at intermission. So, I saved some money, enjoyed the play and met a nice young man. Don't Cry for me Daddy's Forum The truth is I really loved it About the wild days and sad existence. I had no takers so there was remittence.

You saved some money AND met a nice young man?

Sounds like a total win to me.

LOL Guys, he had an extra theater ticket! It's not like he needed a kidney. :p
My read of most of these responses were that they were firmly tongue in cheek. But as it turned out, I did need a kidney and a donor was found in the audience, strangely enough the young gent who bought my returned ticket was an exact match and generously supplied his left kidney and as luck would have it a speed transplant team was on a night out and seated in the next row, so I was fortunate that they agreed to perform the transplant at intermission. By the fall of the final curtain, I was in the men's room peeing on one of the extras. You have to love a night out at the theater.

I think your response was absolutely perfect and hilarious. For those who may think that the initial remark or pk's response were either crude or inappropriate, they were not. As a recipient of a kidney transplant a short while ago, we all should find humor and lightness in life's little ups and downs.

Thanks PK
