The collission looked clean but violent in the video. The leverage provided with the feet behind and the collission on the upper body seems likely to be responsbile for the damage. I hope he comes back before next year but will face lengthy rehab. Good luck young Mr. Posey.

I didn't mean to "confuse" anyone. There are several MLB fans on this site and I personally have broken both of my fibulas as well as one heel, so perhaps I have more than ordinary sympathy for Buster. Besides, he is cute.

I've been hearing about Buster's collision for the last couple of days and wish him a speedy recovery. But enough already from the talk show hosts and callers who what to change the rules of the game because of this incident. No matter how much we don't want to see injuries, it is highly unlikely that they can be eliminated all together.
