I do believe that the Delegates in "The Stripper Forum" will take offense to "The Wonderful World of Male Strippers" being called Sleazy!

Channing Tatum isn't he the guy who had the Head of his Dick badly burned a while back

gcursor, thanks for the heads up. This is a film I'm looking forward to seeing. I hope they do a good job with it as the idea has lots of possibilities.

*sigh* Ryan Phillippe

This should be a hot, fun movie to watch. Now if only they'd hire Ryan Phillippe And Taylor Lautner to play strippers in the movie too!

Unfortunately Tatum is not a great Actor even if it had a good script and actually there have been other "Chippendale" Stripper type Movies with titles that have been long forgotten and guys with much better Bodies in them.

Most have been on TV.

Chippendales is so decades old.

Everyone I know who works in show business thinks the business of stripping is sleazy. If someone here takes offense to that, then they're just not living in reality (of course, that's pretty common around here). Cash bills carry more germs than a woman's sanitary napkin. They never get cleaned. Why anyone would invite those germs onto their naked, sweaty bodies and/or want those germs near their private parts is beyond me. And since most cheapo perverts like to stick $1 bills in every covered orifice, well, it doesn't take much to realize just how sleazy the business really is. And we haven't even mentioned how the dancers get treated, from top to bottom, every pun intended, or where those dollar bills eventually find themselves.

Not sure what to say about Matt Bomer joining this cast and publicly discussing his work in a thong. Bomer is too thin to be a stripper in real life, unless the venue is strictly gay and features twinks. And about his junk not fitting into his g-string, I'm not sure what he meant by that silly comment, and that's all I'm going to say about that.

Stripper movies always get a lot of press and hype but I've never seen one that actually delivers much of anything. Whether or not Soderbergh can change that trend remains to be seen. I'm not holding my breath.

Gregory Harrison and Marc Singer made a fairly good Television (!!) film back in 1981 that was surprisingly well reviewed. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082397/ So there has been at least one stripper movie that was good. Just watched it the other night and although it is a little dated..it holds up as a cautionary tale of an actor in the big city.

Even with all the PR this Movie is getting and will get I'm doubting it won't be more than slightly "titilating"!

Probably a Big Bore to the Delgates over in the "Stripper Forum" who are definitely used to the "Real Thing"!

Those like myself who climbed the "Gaiety Staircase to the Star's" do have a Major Reference Point!

As for 'show biz' people finding strippiing sleazy - I suspect they would at least profess to feel the same way about this Forum and it's suibject.

If you had read the article, I think Bomer's comment would have made sense to you.
