Everyone I know who works in show business thinks the business of stripping is sleazy. If someone here takes offense to that, then they're just not living in reality (of course, that's pretty common around here). Cash bills carry more germs than a woman's sanitary napkin. They never get cleaned. Why anyone would invite those germs onto their naked, sweaty bodies and/or want those germs near their private parts is beyond me. And since most cheapo perverts like to stick $1 bills in every covered orifice, well, it doesn't take much to realize just how sleazy the business really is. And we haven't even mentioned how the dancers get treated, from top to bottom, every pun intended, or where those dollar bills eventually find themselves.

Not sure what to say about Matt Bomer joining this cast and publicly discussing his work in a thong. Bomer is too thin to be a stripper in real life, unless the venue is strictly gay and features twinks. And about his junk not fitting into his g-string, I'm not sure what he meant by that silly comment, and that's all I'm going to say about that.

Stripper movies always get a lot of press and hype but I've never seen one that actually delivers much of anything. Whether or not Soderbergh can change that trend remains to be seen. I'm not holding my breath.

Once again RH, I take great offense to what you are saying...I will tell you that this "cheapo pervert" only tips 20 dollar bills, thank you very much.

One man's sleaze is another man's euphoria.

As for 'show biz' people finding strippiing sleazy - I suspect they would at least profess to feel the same way about this Forum and it's suibject.

Not at all. Almost every gay friend I have through work uses escort services. I've had a network of great recommendations for many years, guys you never see discussed on this site or advertising on Rentboy with hard-on photos. Yes, many gay men in show business are snobs, and that includes their opinions on sleaze levels.

The business of one-on-one intimacy is nothing like any cheesy, dime-a-dozen lap dance scenario found in some Clorox-perfumed strip joint. Everyone knows the private one-on-one costs a lot more than a few dirty $1 bills.

If you had read the article, I think Bomer's comment would have made sense to you.

I know Bomer and his partner. The decision to do this movie makes little sense to me. Some people in Hollywood say one should never turn down Soderbergh. I don't agree with that thinking.

Missy, you need to go to the gym and work out some of your over-sensitivity. Over-sensitive gay guys are a royal pain in the ass. They tend to be selfish and self-centered, too.

Your constant reference of calling me Girl or Gurl or Missy, is quite amusing, you are probably a very overwieght (fatty) very feminine closeted straight guy who in his despiration cruises gym saunas and bathhouses looking just a little bit of human touch. Please do us all a favor and get back in therapy and on your meds.....oh wait that's right, it's Sunday, no therapy until Monday...well looks like we will have to put up with your rants until tomorrow.

Your shtick is boring and unoriginal. It must suck to be you. You're entitled to your silly fantasies but, clearly, you have no idea who I am or what I look like. I plan to keep it that way.

I think the terms that people use when they try to insult someone are very revealing of the speaker's prejudices. :(
