Im just getting the idea that IML might be a later nights for all of us. Im considering that it might be better to make the luncheon a dinner. does anyone else have any ideas on this. Ive heard from a number of escorts and attendees that this might be a better idea timing wise. Hell we might also find that since we are all in town an evening out at sidetracks or boystown might also be fun.... just a thought. I certainly don't want to step on what chitown is planning but im hearing some of our IML attendees might not be able to attend based on timing.

 

TC - I'm getting that feedback as well, thanks for bringing it up. May have to reconsider doing a cocktail reception or a dinner, any thoughts guys? I'm open to suggestions.

Either venue would work for me, just make certain that there is time before the meal to mingle with all the attendees. Once you are seated at a table you are limited to about four other people for conversation.

One thing to consider is the IML schedule. The Leather Market is open all day from 11 AM to 7 PM, but the big event on Saturday is the IML Pecs & Personality contest. For that the doors open at 8 and the contest is at 9. So a reasonably early dinner/cocktail get together (~5'ish??) might be a good way to do it -- everyone can get to the leather market and still make the show. It might be a way to go to the show as a group even. And if some of the escorts would chime in here: if you are working that weekend, that still would give you plenty of time to make an overnight appointment, right?

 

The Mr. IML contest isn't until Sunday. But my question is why isn't some of our guys in these contests?

Update

 

It looks as though the lunch has officially become a dinner. I've narrowed the venue to two restaurants with private event rooms, one near IML Headquarters and the other in Boystown. The plans are for cocktails followed by dinner, early enough to move on to the IML events or a night in Boystown.

 

Looks like the current count of guys committed to attend is: 9 Escorts and 8 clients with a couple of each attempting to make it.

 

I'll post more details as I firm up the plans. Let me know if you have any questions or need hotel recommendations. :)

Tyger, I'm finalizing plans for the dinner on Saturday, May 28th in Chicago. It looks like we'll be doing cocktails around 5:30 or so, followed by dinner. That gives enough time for the evening events at IML for those who want to attend them. Those not going on to IML, will have time for "personal affairs" after dinner followed by a group activity of prowling, carousing and debauchery in Boystown.

 

Details to follow soon, should be a lot of fun! :cool:

C'mon guys, let's give Chitown the timely input on attendance he needs to make this get-together as enjoyable as it should be. Organizing any event is a lot of work and a royal pain. If we could just give him a definite yes/ a definite no/ or good possibility, it would make things go a lot smoother.

 

I hope that there is a great showing of the famous (infamous?) Chicago escorts because I, for one, would love to get a chance to meet them. Presently, I know 6 of the 9 escorts attending and only 1 of the 6 is from Chicago. These events are marvelous beyond belief for all who have attended any of the functions in the past!

Hey Bill K...

You are right. I don't currently live in Chicago but have other obligations that weekend, otherwise I would be there with bells... only figuratively of course.. :-) But, I do hope the Chicago based escorts will be there too, as so many guys from around the country are there for IML, so it would be a shame not to have a good turnout of clients and escorts from Chicago to help Chitown host this event. I have already sent my regrets to Chitown, but let's not let him down. Based on the DC luncheon and the PS weekend, it should be a grand time for all involved.

Has our President been informed about this?

 

The hell with the President. Have the people from Hawaii who just paid their federal income tax been informed. Can they stop payment on the checks????

 

Although I have reports that Tyger has landed in Hawaii and has already been lei'd.

That is a lie. Everybody knows that the Bradys left Tyger at home when they went to Hawaii and met Vincent Price! :p

Just heard a rumor about entertainment for the festivities. We're going to be treated to a WAY OFF BROADWAY written and produced by the infamous NYTomcat. It will start off with a duet starring TC and Dane to the UNFORGETABLE "New York, New York" followed by a full production number by the Barrack's Boys doing their rendition of "SLINGING in the rain" Enjoy!!
