Funny - I saw this ad too - I did not even find him moderatly sexy and interesting... a real honest to goodness arrogant jerk. Howeer... as PT Barnum has said, "A sucker is born every...." so I sadly guess there may be a few Hollywood magnets who like to suck who will call him... I will never get the "I want to spend hundreds to hire a non-responsive STRAIGHT man" thing.

Marketing 101- if you can't call yourself the best, nobody else will.

Marketing 102- you can always discount your price, you can never raise it.

Agreed, but there is a limit -- marketing a yugo as the luxury car of the year at $250k is just silly and makes you the laughing stock. And that may be even worse and somefthing from which you never recover. Confidence is one thing. Arrogance is another entirely. And the "I'm straight but I'll fuck you" schtick is rather tedious and trite. IMHO.

However, as an example, and although he may not be everyone's ideal I think he's enough people's cup of tea to use him to illustrate the point: I don't think you would EVER hear Juan Bruno call himself the best. But you will hear a lot of people here do it. So that quiet confidence can carry you further more often than the brash arrogance any day of the week.

I never realised that a "sophisticated European super stud" would (given his phone's area code) come from east central Missouri :-)

Other posters have mentioned the arrogant boys in LA boys but often they are at least pretty. I wouldn't be interested in doing this guy even if he were free.

This guy (if for real) might be appealing to the niche "arrogance market"--clients

who get turned on by being completely humiliated. I remember that in the classic novel "City of Night" by John Rechy that one client hired him (the protagonist hustler) primarily to have his wallet, stuffed with lot of money, stolen while he (the client) was pretending to be asleep. Has anyone here done that?

as bcohen says, I'm sure there are deep-pocketed coupon-clippers (remember that term?) in LA who like that kind of arrogant attitude...I myself prefer a "straight" confident dude...but this guy's looks and stats seem less-than-impressive, so...I don't know.....

also, I've met with several LA escorts and none of them have had an arrogant attitude....but I did do my research.....

By "arrogant," do most more experienced clients mean "hyper-masculine," or something else?

You must be kidding.... arrogance is a character trait -- one who thinks he/she is above everyone else, better than they, disdainful (mocking??). This ad of this guy reeks of arrogance. He is neither very strikingly handsome, nor does he present any qualities that are apparent that would warrant parting with $350 (or, dare I say it, $200) just to look and maybe touch, and little else. I am more amazed that there are clients who like to interact with such; this board is filled with more than enough men who hire such rip offs, and then realize they were suckered (and not sucked), and it also does not do much for one's self-esteem to have to admit later that you are taken in by such blatant mis-advertising.

What he said. :)

I guess for me, I just don't understand the fascination some have with straight boys. And because he's straight, he think he's worth more -- a lot more -- than any top professional escort who posts here -- because he deigns to let us lowly pitiful gays tocuh him? Really? A mercy fuck? For $350/hour?

That is arrogant.

I like his ad. Agreed, he's not for everybody, but he's got a certain cockiness and swag in his lingo that makes him interesting. He looks like good fantasy material for clients who're into the straight dude thing. He's telling us right off the bat that he's straight, that he's looking for serious clients who are not into penny pinching, and that he's not into any bullshit. At least he asked politely that clients respect his boundaries. Can't help but wonder though how he can promise clients 'the time of your life' if he doesn't kiss, doesn't fuck, and doesn't get fucked. Especially at $350 an hour.

If this guy professes he is from Bulgaria, that is very intriguing. The ad might also have been written by an expert copywriter. Aside from this, there are even more way-out combination "offers" (more like "demands"--it gets confusing)

on "Youtube." Various male "domination" experts do demand payment and "tribute"

just from viewers watching their clips: no physical interaction involvement whatsoever.

Going down the line, I think I've seen the term "money slaves" in the past for types interested (??) in this kind of gift-giving. It is doubtful if anyone has ever done a study to find out if all of this is just a farce, or if any of these guys actually earn some kind of income. The protagonists might be arrogant, hyper-masculine, scam-artists, desperate, or brilliant. Other thoughts/reactions?

The term for guys who enjoy the submission of sending cash to Masters who dominate them with demands for cash is "cash fags." It is generally men who are themselves in positions of power who relish this type of servitude.

Can you elaborate further on this fascinating observation?

Well, not much: probably a Master or client who is into this scene would be better at elaborating. Do an internet search for cash fags and various blogs and related sites will come up. I have just talked to a few clients who get off on this scenario, but never followed through on it with them. I'm all about providing a quality service. Then there are some clients who describe themselves as cash fags, using the term in a more general way, to indicate that they get off on the idea and practice of paying for sex.

While I might not be "super financially successful" or even in his suggested age genere, I still would not hire him for a number of reasons.

#1. Like others said he comes across as totally arrogant which to me is a total turn off.

#2. Secondly his "straight" emphasis suggests to me he is only interested in being serviced...which to me is too one-sided

#3. Third his price is way over the limit...but then again he is not looking for my economic grouping

#4. Finally, while somewhat cute...there are a lot of others that make little shoreboy twinge and grow
