How America...If I do something for you, what am I going to get? Well I think it goes without saying that your contribution is rewarded everyday. Without reviews, Daddys Reviews wouldn't exist and neither would this forum. Sites like these rely heavily new content and a steady stream of old and new visitors. I think it's probably also fair to say that you reference the reviews on this site when making hiring decisions. Is that not some sort of reward or payment?

 

Like any cooperative, everyone needs to offer a lending hand in order to reap the benefits.

I used to review frequently (under a different screen name) and now review infrequently. One reason is that I tend to hire from among the same few guys, all of whom have been frequently and well-reviewed here, and having reviewed them at least once, I'm hesitant to review again until a considerable amount of time has gone by. I was actually among the first to submit reviews on some of them. Another reason is that as I get older I find myself hiring less frequently.

 

Another reason, as many have noted above, is that writing a review on somebody new requires a bit too much "busywork" filling in the detail information on the form. I think that once somebody has been reviewed, there should be an option to check a box that says, in effect, the factual information already posted about this escort is accurate as far as I can tell. Or that provides a focused space for the reviewer to note any respects in which the information that is already posted is inaccurate. (For example, if it says the escort is 6 feet tall, and your reaction to that, having met them, is "in your dreams, baby - he's no taller than me and I'm 5-7"). Other than that, if I'm reviewing somebody who already has one or more reviews, I'd like to have the option to just submit my narrative review without having to complete all the information that is already posted.

 

I hope people continue to post reviews, despite all the effort required, because I certainly rely on them for my occasional experiment with somebody new. At this point, I won't hire somebody new unless they've been well reviewed on this site, preferably by somebody other than a first-timer so I have some sense that the review is not "escort autobiography".

Joey's point is well taken on reviewing clients. If it is just checking boxes and indicating no-show , no-pays then he is right. What I was talking about was long, involved writing about what happened, etc and even WHO the client is. Maybe I do not understand the process. what I like about you Joey is that you speak your mind and voice your opinions. It would be nice if the stats section of the review could be streamlined. I don't mind spending a good bit of time crafting the "essay" part of the review. I genuinely liked each guy I reviewed and wanted to help drum up more business for them.

 

Someone mention the cooperative aspect of this. That's what's in it for you. I have hired a GREAT guy (RoughScort) based on the reviews here before I hired him. To get, you have to give.

 

But yes, it sure would help if all those stats at the top could be handled once by the escort and we just fill out our individual experience. And it wouldn't hurt if they appeared a little faster, though I appreciate that they are vetted.

Not at all is this because of a review, more the time that was taken to write it, thought behind it and the client himself. My first review was from a client that I still work with that lives 4.5 hours away from Raleigh and if at any point there is anything he needs (help around his home, to talk, or professional work time) I will stop what I am doing to be there. I know that it is not always this way, but if you are taking time to invest in me, I will make sure that I accomodate in every way that I can, to your needs. So there can be gain on the client's side to write a fair and truthful review on us. I think we as escorts hope and strive for positive reviews, but its a matter of truly impressing our clients...That at times can be hard to do.

As helpful as this website is, as much as I love the users, technologically many aspects are stuck in 1997. I'm no programmer, but a quick look at the other escort review site, not to mention simply other sites, suggest that importing past information into a new review (with the ability to modify each field (weight, height, age, sex orienttation, etc..,)) would be technically easy.

 

This is a free site of course, we are all getting what we pay for.

 

Yet despite how taxing the transfer and format change would be for Daddy and the volunteers (Deej et al), the scripts clearly exist (Filemaker Pro 1994 anyone?), and so the onus for any paucity of reviews no longer lies on the clients. I think Deej's response skirts the issue.

LOL, well thanks for the kudos! Again, I only say that because I think everyone knows about your big dick but seems like I see it being mentioned on most every one of your threads. You're not annoying, and in fact I learned so much from you since you've posted here. In fact, something you said few weeks ago had gave me the strength to make a pressing decision and I ended up following what you said and didn't regret taking the risk.

 

I would have loved to meet up with you and I thought about sending you an email while I was in New Orleans, but seems like the times I have contacted guys suggesting a meetup...they seem annoyed that I even bothered (perhaps they view me as the evil competitor). So I just quit contacting people from the forum if I happen to see them around town. I can be just as nonchalant and self-absorbed as them and frankly I would be damned to chase down anyone. I barely have time for myself much less time for them. Maybe I'm just too friendly and open to meeting new people and fellow working guys, I cannot expect everyone to feel the same. I have never filed an official review. Often times, guys I hire are not "official" advertising escorts (Think strippers, gogo boys, sauna boys, or the hot guy pumping gas at the gas station) and likely prefer not to be categorized as such. Also, the way the review system is structured, it is black or white, good or bad, great or awful. In reality, some encounters are just so/so or average. Not easy to do a review in those cases. Would one hire again in that case? Maybe yes maybe no. Not easy.

Everything is up in the air until the point of meeting. I know who I am and try to give every client a true taste of me and who I really am from the heart... That may not always be what they want, so I just hope the the best and a positive and unforgetable experience for them as well as myself.

I agree with your sentiments. I also write extensive reviews of escorts with whom I have truly enjoyed their pleasure and company and would like others to experience the same thing! Of the few bad ones that I have written, and I do mean a few-- my act was completely warranted because I deemed the guys to be "frauds" based on their advertisements and how they failed to deliver!!!

Hagen has good point. It's about the site design and ease in submitting. I haven't been seeing escorts long, but would review a great guy with no problem. I don't play games with my escorts and want them to be as successful as possible.

There are internet review sites for just about every product and service (cars, hotels, restaurants, etc). Relatively few visitors to these sites actually post reviews. Why would you think horny gay men would do any differently?

Actually, I only read the reviews for their entertainment value. My hiring proces doesn't fit the mold.
