Obviously, there's a difference between my noticing a trend, a generality (tips in massage v. escort), versus keeping track. Keeping track would imply that if someone did or didn't tip me I would "take note" for our next meeting or possibly even hold a grudge. I do not.

Hey Rod, You know we all like a smartass from time to time....And we know you can deliver. :p

Bart,

Thanks for the kind words.

As I stated above I always look for what amounts to about three hours -- lunch/dinner plus two hours of play time. I make it VERY clear VERY early that this is the type of arrangement I am seeking and that I expect the escort to quote me a fee for the ENTIRE arrangement. For this type of get together I am usually willing to spend between $500 and $600 dollars. If the escort states a fee in that range I answer positively and repeat the agreement. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WORKING THINGS THIS WAY. A likely reason for my lack of problems is that I NEVER EVER hire an escort who has not been extremely well reviewed on THIS SITE.

Epigonos -- I'd never thought of doing it quite like that, but it really is quite simple and brilliant. Thanks for the suggestion.

For those of you that say you don't tip, that the price is agreed upon and that's all that you pay- I disagree. Tipping has nothing to do with the amount of money that is transacted and it has nothing to do with the profession or type of pay that the service provider is receiving. Have I tipped a plumber? No. Have i tipped a tow truck driver- YES! Because I've never met a plumber (OMG the money they make!) that went above and beyond the call of duty to fix the problem. However I have met a tow truck driver (ONLY one) that was pleasant and went out of his way to help me.

As for escorts, if i enjoy the service and I felt they were genuine in providing service, I tip. if I had to service myself to get off and they were disinterested, of course not. So it depends..

For me its more about the gift and the giving, not about the money.

So for those of you that don't believe that there is ANY rule about not tipping, trust me- it's your excuse to not tip. ANYone that provides service appreciates a tip. It is always remembered and appreciated. Wether it's the coffee barrister, the owner of a hair shop or the plumber, they like it..

The cashier at the deli, the nurse at the doctor's office, the mailman, police officer, Senator etc.... Plenty of people that provide a service and do not get a tip. Escort? I do tip at times. Can see the rationale not to do so. I still do it, with discretion.

Hey Purplekow -- I have a slight problem with 2 groups on your lists -- police officers and senators. The P.O's tips are not cash, but free coffee, donoughts, etc. at Dunkin Donuts, Krispy Kreme, 7-11, etc. Just their presence at these establishment provides "free" security to them. Not saying it's wrong, it just is what it is. And Senators? That's what the PACs are for. Just remember we have the best Congress money can buy. Cynical -- absolutely. If I hadn't been a voice major my first time through undergrad I would have done poly sci. A lot of people told me I should have gone to law school. The only problem with that is I'd have to spend most of my day with other lawyers :). I spent WAY too many years growing up in DC -- my entire youth. I went to school with the daughter of one the Watergate burglars. Unfortunately, I think it's in the water for all native Washingtonians. But your general point is certainly well taken.

Well LBT you are talking graft and political corruption. Unfortunately, I have spent many an hour in a Dunkin Donut and have never seen the Police Officers there get a free doughnut. Still that is not a tip but it is a means of saying Thank You. As to the whole Krispy Kreme Dunkin Donut debate, my vote goes to DD. Others out there, which way do you lean in the great donut debate? As an aside, one of my favorite sexual activites is a Boston Cream Donut impaled on a hard dick and then eat off. I say that and yet I can still wonder why I gained 20 pounds.

Hey PK, as far as P.O.s and DD, KK and 7-11, there is sort of a necessary symbiotic relationship. Normally I only see it late at night when I tend to haunt these places (I'm in 7-11 all day long -- I've a monster Jones habit of diet pepsi double gulps). And late at night, these tend to be the only places open so for the P.O.s to use the facilities their choices are limited. Of course these places are more likely to be targeted by criminal activity at night so the mere presence of polilce cruisers or even the possibility that the police will show up goes to the benefit of the establishment. I'm not saying it's graft, I'm not saying it's wrong. I'm just saying it is what it is. For the taxpayers, it's certainly beneficial rather than having the P.O.s having to drive back to the precinct everytime they need to use the facilities. As far as the Senators, well that's an entire different kettle of fish.

Unfortunately, I've never been a DD fan. I'm a straight-up glazed donut fan and I don't think DD puts enough glaze on them. That and I do live in the South, home of KK (damn I'm glad they stoped at 2 K's). Howver, once a month I pick up the doughnuts for our office. Of course, now I'm on this diet kick so it's absolute pure hell. Because let me tell you, a KK glazed doughnut that is hot out of the fryer and glazer is an entirely different experience than the same doughnut even 20-30 minutes later. I don't know why but it is. But your idea of eating a BCD impaled off a hard dick does sound, how shall I say this, appetizing. But is it possible that maybe you gained the 20 pounds because of any extra protein you may have ingested after you ate the doughnut and cleaned off the hard dick thoroughly??? :) Just wondering!!

Gotta go with Krispy Kreme - especially when they're still warm and melt-in-your-mouth soft. Unfortuantely, it's hard ot make it home with the full dozen if you've just picked them up when the 'hot donuts now' light was on. (I have a friend who lives near one of the shops where you can actually see them being made - bobbing across the lake of bubbling oil, being flipped midway and then beaching on the shore of the sugar glaze waterfall before making their way around the room to set the glaze before being delivered into our greedy hands. YUM.)

Mine, too. The basic KK is just so much sticky air.

May I suggest a bagel next time? Takes longer. And then there's the c r e a m cheese (optional, of course).

What a great idea. And it's sticky enough it would take a lot of licking to get it off. I like it. A lot! :)

I think we overthink tipping. You want to thank a Guy for good service hire them again. You appreciate them going beyond the call. Tip. If you know what they would like. Buy a gift. If not cash works. Follow your heart and you wont make a mistake. But tip based on how they perform with you not on who you are. And I firmly believe the best tip is appreciating their efforts whether thats with a note telling them or if you Can afford it a monetary tip or gift. It the thought of saying you went beyond the norm and I want to acknowledge That In some way.

Thank you! I think all that is exactly right.

The only rule I usually follow is, like raife said, to tip agency guys (unless the session was really bad), to somewhat make up for the cut that the agency takes.

Otherwise I tip, or not, just based on how I feel in the spontaneity of the moment. Was it a great time? Was he really into it? Did he stay overtime without asking for more? Etc.

HERESY! DD's are just so many leaden lumps. :)

KK's coffee is better, too.

Previous posts are also right that there is nothing in the world like a KK just rolling off the fryer/sugar-coater machine.

Although strangely, when KK came to New England, the shops around Boston would never heat the fat in their fryers quite hot enough. So the things never quite tasted like they do in the South. Odd.

Mmmm. Think I must meander over to the KK shop in Penn Station and have one now.

While you're there, please pick up a Cinnabon for me. My friend will show me how he can poke out the center without using his hands, and when he's done, I'll show him how I can make the rest disappear, also without using hands.

Extra icing would be nice.

Always Love seeing you "coming", (and more then the waiter at the restaurant). ...(and I see that "coming" from my POV). Love the smiles when coming too~! Warm, welcoming smiles at the airport and... well... knees to ears it's always difficult to see your smiles but, I still look over my shoulder when I hear those heavy moans and witness that amazing "spray of affection"~! Ahhhhh.... Even when it's not me over you making you smile, the idea of you "smiling" and "coming" in the restaurant situation or bedroom situation makes me smile~! Here's to Knees to Ears" Love you Okie~!

Back at you, Ty

Funny that I should read your post today... it's rainy and I am getting ready to go watch the "US Open"... and that's how we spent two full days more than a couple years ago.... in bed.... and eventually setting my all time record... (and you were still ready to go from more!) ... back when I could hit the head board and you right in the throat... ah, memories.

It's been a great ride, friend..... knees to ears, all the way.

Okie
