I just don't get the obsession with having a bunch of tattoos on your body. Today's reviews featured two escorts that had way too many. I don't mind one or two but why multiple tattoos? I can say I have not contacted escorts based on pictures revealing too much ink for my taste. This does not seem to be a fad anymore, it seems to be getting worse. Is there a market for this among those who hire or do you have a preference? My preference would be none or one.

I understand that all of this body "art" is a generational form of self expression, but I personally do not hire guys with tats. Oops, I just realized I wasn't being completely honest. I do not hire escorts with tats. I discovered that some of my employees had tats. It was always after the fact and the circumstances are entirely different.

I'll hire guys with one or two. I find lots of tattoos to be off-putting and spend my money elsewhere.

I am more worried about the quality of the person rather than the "wrapping". I personally do not have any tattoos and I am not planning to get any. I have seen guys who have many, and I have no problem with it, I guess it is a matter of personal taste and whether or not you have interest in the person as a human being rather than as a piece of meat and how "it" looks. Objectification has always seemed to be a common facet of the social norm in Western Culture. Could you imagine those two escorts that had too many tattoos saying you are too old, fat, wrinkled, have too much gray hair, etc. to a client? They might be thinking it, but they may also have interest in you as a person and not really care about the "wrapping".

That's a good attitude. :)

But there's nothing particularly wrong with being discriminating, either. Some guys like blonds and, when hiring, choose to hire blond guys. Undoubtedly they are missing out on some great times with some other guys but there are lots of escorts to choose from. So long as they are finding people who appeal to them, they can choose from the guys they find attractive. When that list gets small enough, they need to go outside their comfort zone and try a different flavor. Simple as that. ;)

Less is more

I personally prefer a clean slate... However, tattoos can be sexy... very sexy and quite hot looking as well and especially when strategically placed.

Overdone is just quite often ridiculous in my book... as I said less is definitely more.

Civilian vs Prison Tats!

Being a guy with 2 Tats.. My opinion has always been its definitely a Personal Thing!

What I don't see much sense in are the guys who get "Prison Looking" TATS who have never been busted!

Some of them are Damn Ugly and usually on Skinny Dudes, who i'm guessing are wannabe Bad Boys!

I have 3 tats but not extremely large ones. I do agree people can go over board I got my 3rd one in 2003 and have no plans to go for a 4th.. I had this friend that started with 1 then imo went completely over board and now his body is covered to such an extreme amount that he can't get a job. I told him last week that he has also lowered the chances of getting a bf that most people do not go for extreme tattoos

Tatoos don't age well

Those tats may look hot when you are young and svelt... but skin does not like them, and watch what they look like when guys get 40, 50, 60 and 70. They will be hideous. The larger the tatoo the worse they will be... sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Talk to your dermatologist... there is now a big market developing for laser removal of them.

I find tattoos to be very hot and a real turn on for me....Some are better looking than others of course. I suppose that at some point the quantity gets to be almost comedic but some nicely placed tats so quite a bit for me....

I am in the process of getting my first tattoo at 60 so that my body has already fallen apart and can't get much worse. I think I'm living my second adolescence...I have spent years trying to decide and thinking about what to get and where...still am not sure but my son is taking me this minth to get one so I'll just have to decide..Unfortunately, It's too late for me to be hired as just another tattoood guy. One fantasy down. Many to go.

Tattoos as "body art" should complement the body, as any other work of art complements its surroundings. All too often they don't.

To use one example (and I hate to single him out), HGTV's David Bromstad is a gorgeous guy. But when he takes his shirt off I completely lose sight of his body (which is pretty rocking) because of the poorly placed and overly assertive tats. They are distractions rather than adding to his look.

Mark Gordon has that terrific maple leaf on his chest. It's decorative, it's tasteful, it clearly has meaning to him, and it doesn't distort or disguise his fabulous shape.

Tats can be good and they can be bad. But that's just me. I love skin. Smooth, toned, lovely, lickable skin.

I usually dont care for tattoos. I was hoping this posting was about a Herve Villachaise look alike contest. A few small or particularly artful tattoos are fine but the Samoan arm sleeve type do little for me except distract from a well form bicep or a well turned tricep. Still looking for a guy with an ice cream cone tattoo between his ass cheeks.

Right you are Diverdan. There are going to be some hideous looking carcasses in the nursing homes a few decades from now. Ick.

Though I appreciate some decent "art" the problem is that it's so rare to find such these days. Years ago, a guy (or gal) with a tattoo was edgy and non-conformist. These days’ tattoos and piercing are so common they have become an expression of conformity.

Ho hum, another Celtic arm tattoo. Or someone with a Chinese character that allegedly means "peace" or "strength" or "harmony" but could just as likely really translate as "chicken with broccoli" due to the bad patterns and lousy art that's now mainstream.

I see your point, glutes...

but was it the art or was it the canvas?

Since the escort isn't paying and it's my hard earned money I don't give a shit what the escort thinks about me as long as he performs, is clean and acts professionally. I don't think that I've ever hired someone based on the "quality" of the person since that's hard to determine in quick emails or a phone call. Sure, if they're an asshole on the phone I'll move on. I suppose if I were to hire only on the quality or character of an individual we could do away with all of those pictures of muscles, dick and ass and instead read the escorts essays on character or testimonials from their clergy. Objectification is not limited to the West. Objectification, in one form or another, exists in most cultures. African art is often phallic, Japanese Geisha's are objectified, and, Michelangelo's David defines objectification. When I hire I'm looking for someone who appeals to my particular likes, and there's nothing objective about that.
