OK, now that's just UNFAIR to show to a bunch of guys getting ready to belly up to a 3,000-calorie meal.

(That's actually the national average for a thanksgiving meal. I was shocked. Not deterred, but shocked.)

Better viewing than Macy's parade

Some South African samplings...

Turkey Chili

I'm going to celebrate Thanksgiving twice this year as I'll be joining American friends for dinner tonight. On the menu will be turkey chili, very tasty and only 298 calories per serving.

Oh toss the calories out the door and enjoy the good food, laughs and yummy after dinner treats of all kinds! It only comes once so why not indulge the day away. :)

Eat & Live it up today...Shop it off and work it off tomorrow!

I had an excellent "light" Thanksgiving dinner! I loved it all.

I tried a bit of the various dishes and plates on the table (with no excess). It was all succulent and I got to taste a few new untraditional things ...

Off to the local gym this morning to burn those calories and release some endorphins :) ... nothing better than a good work out.

Last year I had to work and was alone for Thanksgiving. I got off at 8:30PM and the only place I could think of that could serve a traditional dinner was East of Eighth, a semi-gay bistro on 23d Street near 8th Ave here in New York. I was great. This year, I had to figure out how to feed my Asian mother-in-law who speaks no English and doesn't understand the holiday or care for turkey and my Asian acupuncturist who speaks Chinese but is a devout Buddhist and vegetarian. East of Eighth came through again. Amah enjoyed her salmon. My turkey was wonderfully moist and because I asked for dark meat I got the drumstick. I felt like a kid again. Because there are no seconds at a restaurant, there was limited chance to overeat. Until we returned to my home that is. I had made an apple pie that looked just perfect. We inhaled it. Ah tradition. On the dark side of eating out on Thanksgiving is the lack of left overs. Emeril Lagasse was on GMA this morning with a tex-mes [Freudian slip? - I meant "mex"] treatment for turkey and I could only look on longingly.

Where was your wife or husband on that day?

Working out of state alas! I'll be bring his mother to visit him for an extended stay this week.

ps. You're so observant no wonder you can call yourself "greatness".
