Anything (like fats) not to eat before using Cialis?

My doctor gave me some 20mg Cialis samples. I have an appt with an escort tonight, and since my willie is sometimes shy with a new guy I thought I might try one.

I seem to remember that with Viagra, eating a fatty meal could interfere with the effectiveness of the drug. I eat a fairly high-fat, low carb diet, but can certainly change things for the rest of the day if necessary.

I Googled "fat Cialis" and didn't come up with anything useful.

Any tips?

Thanks!

I have ED

But I have never relied on a medication. If a guy is hot enough then sometimes he cures my ED.. :) so I can't give you any pieces of advice on that matter. Good luck tonight!

Z, I can't speak to Cialis specifically, but high-fat meals can slow down the aborption of any medication taken orally. If you're taking a daily dose of something (like Lipitor, which maybe you should be if you're eating a high-fat diet ;) ), then it doesn't matter very much, but it can matter with something with a short-term effect (like an ED drug or, for that matter, an Advil if you've got a headache). If you're meeting your guy after dinner, why not just go with a lower-fat meal tonight (have the fish instead of the steak, and skip the fries) just in case. As my Jewish step-mother used to say "It couldn't hurt."

well

From http://cialis.com/common_pages/fastfacts.jsp

"No. CIALIS can be taken with or without food. That means you and your partner are free to enjoy a meal as part of your intimate time together. However, you should not drink alcohol in excess (to the level of intoxication) when taking CIALIS. Too much alcohol, in combination with CIALIS, can increase your chances of getting a headache or getting dizzy, increasing your heart rate, or lowering your blood pressure."

http://www.cialis.com/talk_to_doctor/ask_about_treatments.jsp

"CIALIS has benefits that may matter a lot to you and your partner. CIALIS for daily use allows you to be ready any time the moment is right. When taken as needed, 36-hour CIALIS is the only prescription ED tablet clinically proven to both work fast — as quickly as 30 minutes in some men — and last long, for up to 36 hours.* With CIALIS, you and your partner can take time and choose when the moment is right.

You can take CIALIS without worrying about what or when you eat. You don't need to plan around meals or avoid high-fat foods. The absorption of CIALIS is not affected by foods. If these things are important to you, ask your doctor if CIALIS is the right ED treatment for you.

If you have already tried a different ED treatment and it didn't work as well as you had hoped it would, you might want to consider trying CIALIS."

Do I trust it... not really... why? They have not looked into the long term effect of CIALIS combined with a certain type of diet.. Anyways, I would advise against using ED drugs. Change your diet and do more exercise. :) I was able to overcome a little by doing so.. Good luck.. Kisses and Hugs..

I tend to eat light before taking Cialis, as afterwards I find myself craving at least one large kielbasa, a couple of good sized nuts, and a generous helping of freshly prepared rump. http://media.bigoo.ws/content/smile/miscellaneous/smile_150.gif

I actually have a prescription of Cialis. Ido not need it but I asked my doctor about it and said I was curious and thought about ordering it online to try it. He handed me a prescription and said "get the real stuff, not what is online. You never know exactly what you are ordering." My doctor did prescribe me the 20 mg prescription and said to cut the pills in half to make them last. He said most people who get the 20 mg do not need that high of a dose. Also, he said that by cutting them in half that I would get twice as many doses for the same price as a 10 mg prescription.

One thing that it does say on my bottle is not to take with Grapefruit. I thought that was a little weird but anytime I have ever taken it I have never taken with grapefruit.

I had no idea you were so fond of Polish (food or guys):) But your recipe or strategem sounds fine to me. :)

I wonder if taking grapefruit juice with Cialis changes any thing? I believe the current thinking is that grapefruit juice suppesses the action of the liver thereby increasing the effects of any drug that is primarily processed by the liver.

Best regards,

KMEM

Well, the post by mmk123 came in after I had composed my post, but it seems obvious that Cialis IS processed by the liver.

Made In China

They are probably from China.

I agree on not buying stuff on line. one of my massage clients ordered this stuff on line. I had never tried any of this stuff b4 and was curious about it so he gave me one. 2 weeks later i tried it. I was on the sofa for 6 hours with a busting headache..

I have a prescription for Cialis taken on a daily basis, 5mg. I actually don't take it every day but ramp it up when I am feeling frisky and thinking of engaging an escort. I have taken it since I had my prostate operation 2 years ago and it helps with the erections. I find that as time has gone by, my body's reaction to the Cialis has been better. I think that is because the nerves have been healing. Maybe it's all in my head!

"Some drugs for the treatment of peripheral or central vascular disease also have the potential to interact with grapefruit juice. Interaction with sildenafil, tadalafil (=CIALIS), or vardenafil for erectile dysfunction, may cause serious systemic vasodilatation especially when combined with a nitrate. "

What kind of a doctor is he ???

I am slow so please understand.... what does the above statement really mean? So you can basically save money ???? Why don't you get 10 mg pills so you don't have to chopped them off ???

Perhaps my doctor was wrong but he said that the cost of the 20mg was about the same as the 10 mg pill. My insurance does not cover these types of medications so I am paying out of pocket which is why my doctor said that he was prescribing me the 20 mg. (I first got the prescription about 3 years ago and that is the prescription that my doctor has continued to give me when I needed a new one.)

As for what kind of doctor is he, I have actually had the same primary care physician since 1998, so he does know me pretty well. Is it "unethical" for him the give me a prescription that I do not need? That is really not for me to say but I would have to say it could venture into that realm. However, I truly doubt that this is the first time or will be the last that a doctor does precribe this type of medication to be used recreationally. (I think I could safely bet a boatload of cash that most of the cialis-viagra-levitra prescriptions that have been written were not for people who medically needed them but wanted to use them recreationally.)

well

Currently, only little data exist about long-term use of PDE-5i (Phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE-5) inhibitors and Cialis is one of them) and their effects on different organ system. Besides, there are side effects... Why would a doctor give it to a patient who doesn't need it? Then how about letting people buy it over the counter freely. So unprofessional...

Just do it.

I highly recommend trying Cialis/Viagra - or whatever else is out there.

They are innocuous but the media behind it makes you feel like you can do anything if you take them. If your drug plan pays for it - this media that spins everything else in our lives actually comes in useful for once letting you think you are superman.

And yes I've tried it, and yes - it worked. Was it the drug - who knows? I wasn't impotent before but man I wasn't worried about it during!

I honestly believe it does nothing for most people. Media wins again!

If you don't like to split tablets, get a box of 30 tabs of 5 mg. A box of 30 has an average wholesale price of $134. A box of 10 10 mg tabs is $160, and 10 20 mg tabs is also $160. So the worst way to buy it is the 10 mg tabs. And, who knows, 5 mg just might work.

For Levitra, it's $150 for ten 5 mg, 10 mg, or 20 mg tabs. Viagra is $160 for 10 of either 25 mg, 50 mg, or 100 mg. (Source e-pocrates). Only with Viagra does one have to avoid eating beforehand.

They also caution you against grapefruit while you're on Lipitor - which I am, and I really miss not being able to eat grapefruit - my favorite fruit.
