Whatever happened to pubic hair?

I went to the Gaiety tonight. There were 13 dancers. 9 of them had shaved off their pubic hair. Is this a trend? I think it's a little weird. I'm used to shaved balls but I think this is too much. I like a nice bush. Something warm and fuzzy to cuddle up to. One of the many things I like about men is that they're hairy. It doesn't have to be a lot but I think this shaving thing has gone too far. Stubble on the chin may be sexy but I think pubes should be natural. Any thoughts?

I agree with you,foxy. Naturally smooth is one thing..but shaving anything but your face is a bit much. Body hair---on a nice body (preferably masculine) is sexy. I like nice smooth bodies too...when they are naturally smooth. But as for shaving.... please...face only.

Obviously this is a totally subjective viewpoint.

I thoroughly agree with above postings....hair is natural and should stay where it grows (except on the face where shaving is preferable to a beard although there is nothing wrong with a beard, mustache, etc). However, shaved bodies and especially shaved pubes are a turn off for me. I suspect that MOST guys feel the same and why someone started shaving their public hair still mystifies me.

It is no fun for the person going down on me to get a mouth full of pubic hair--believe me I don't like it when it happens to me--turns me right off x( I don't go overboard. Just enough to get it out of the way.

 

The only other place I shave is my underarm and that is only for hygiene reasons. (I'm rather bushy there and it smells less with less hair).

 

 

I never shave for vanity. I have some hair on my chest and its staying there. If they don't like it they can kiss my butt! (or even if they like it they can still kiss my butt! }>

I totally agree and do the same thing. I have a very thick bush and prefer to keep it trimmed as a convenience to my customers. I have totally shaved my pubes before just to see what it was like. But I got too many negative comments and now leave most of it intact and only trim.

 

But I do totally shave my ass and will continue to do so. As an active bottom, my clients prefer a smooth ass and I personally think it's "cleaner". There are clients that want me to top them after they fuck me. I am totally turned off when a guy rolls over and wants me to slid into his hairy hole.

 

My motto is: Keep the hair in front and shave the "final filter".

As a top who loves to play with a cute ass (rim, finger, fuck, toys, etc.), I agree that I prefer a smooth hairless ass. It is very sexy and handles lube a lot better than a really hairy one. Not that I would through a gorgeous boy with a gorgeous ass out of my bed because there was hair on his ass... but it's just a preference that I have.

I've never had to shave my ass since it isn't very hairy. Thank God. I don't think I could manage it if I did. Shaving balls is scary enough. I'm not against triming and certain things should be shaved or waxed. There's this guy I see at my gym. He's very attractive and very fit for a guy in his 50's. He has a great haircut and dresses very well. He's got a hairy chest which looks good but he has these two huge patches of hair, more like fur, on his back. I'm pretty sure he's gay. He's hung really well and tends to play with himself in the shower. But I digress. I can't understand why he doesn't get rid of this hair on his back. Maybe it turns somebody on. I'd be surprised if he didn't have someone in his life. I think the Gaiety dancers should shave their initials in their pubic hair. The place really needs a suggestion box. Maybe I should suggest this, but then...where would I put it?

There are someof us out there who are dedicated fur fans - the more the better. My personal preference is (as you might guess), there's no such thing as too much fur. While there are plenty of hairless boys out there, shaved and unshaved, the number of truly hairy escorts is quite few. I just wish I could find a really furry one. Well, actually, I DID find one (just one) - what a loser mentally - no communicative skills whatsoever. But I'll keep on searching...

Charlie is right: neither shave nor trim anything below the neck, ever, for any reason.

 

Trimming is not as disgusting as shaving, but it looks fussy and feels rough. Trimmed pubes and shaved balls are also off-putting. I don't like having sex with a man whose lower body looks like a show poodle's.

 

There are plenty of us who do not court ephebes, and even more of us who like men exactly the way they come, with or without body hair. The point is that it be NATURAL. Has anybody looked lately at the great Colt films of the seventies? If nature gave you the wherewithall to look like Bruno, or Tobey, or Ledermeister, or even Al Parker, why cut it off???? There's nothing the matter with a mouth full of hair.

I don't know for sure, but it's always been my assumption that the shaving trend got a huge boost from the advancement of video technology. The older Colt films referred to in another post were shot on film and transferred to video - a hairy body looks as good as a smooth one on film. But then it becames cheaper to shoot directly on video, and body hair doesn't always look so good under those circumstances, unless some care is taken. It can sometimes look almost like dirt. This effect is often pretty noticeable in vid-caps. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but it seems to me the shaving trend in porn got going around the same time the porn studios began shooting with video instead of film.

 

And as for real life, unfortunately too many people take their cues from what they see (and hear) in porn.

Musing on hair, high prices, and whatever

 

Let's everybody try not to get too opinionated...

 

This is after all a personal preference matter, and there will be almost as many different preferences as there are people.

 

What we do know from this thread is that there are people who like their men natural and not shaved. And by the fact that most porn stars shave some parts of their lower body and that 9 out of 13 Gaiety dancers did, we can infer that these guys feel the majority of their audience wants it that way. I know I do (at least the smooth ass anyway).

 

So there are smooth guys and hairy ones. Be with the ones that turn you on. And taking the cue from another thread.... pay whatever you feel they are worth, be it $150 or $300. If it's too much, pass. If it's too little, tip.

 

I hate to use as vulgar an analogy as car shopping... but some guys like small sports cars, and some guys like big luxury models. And some guys can't see spending that much money on a car at all. No one is wrong. Bottom line is... when it comes to recreational spending, spend the amount you can afford on the stuff you really like.

It is true that some people have natural hair growth that actually looks NATURAL on his body, however, this is not always the case. Some people have areas that are overly bushy.

 

Even with heteros, the majority of men like women who shave their armpits. "Bushy" women are not really desirable to most hetero men. (every rule has an exception)

 

As I previously stated, I am only concerned when going down on someone. It it quite unpleasant to get a mouthful of pubic hair! Yuck! otherwise, to each his own!
