Hierarchy of Titles

I've looked at the FAQs and could not find any listing of the hierachy of titles in order, and the number of posts required for each title. You can figure most of it out by looking at the titles of members and their number of posts, but it would be nice to see a table.

 

Is there anywhere on this site where it's posted?

 

The titles are a cute touch. Is it an option in the software, or did Daddy add it?

I don't think there's a public list anywhere. I can tell you we're unlikely to see a Prince any time in the next decade, but Peer isn't out of reach for several of our posters. Since the list is subject to change at any time (can you see a Halloween surprise coming? - or a <pick a seasonal holiday> surprise) it doesn't make much sense to make a public list. As you say, you can pretty much guess at them.

 

It's a built-in feature although the default titles were pretty lame.

We should feel fortunate that deej didn't choose such titles as Mama, Queen, Mama-san, Top Bitch, etc. As it is, being a duke is a little silly in this day and age, but ya take what comes.

I had nothing to do with it. But it IS tempting to change the 10,000 group to "Old Biddy".

deej, thanks for the info. Actually, I should have been more specific. It's easy to figure out the exact order. But even if you look at numerous members, it's the minimum posts required for each title that isn't so easy. You would have to find one member right below the cutoff, and another member right above the cutoff.

 

For example, I can't tell how many posts you need to become a "Duke" or a "Count". It would still be nice to see a list, but I understand that the administrative people have better things to do.

 

Speaking of Dukes, Lucky has ove 9500 posts, but is still only a Duke. Shouldn't he be promoted to "SuperDuke" or "UberDuke" or "Senior Duke" (no relation to age) or "Duke II"?

The # of posts between steps gets larger as you move up the list. The first jump is at 10 posts, the last jump takes 10,000 between steps.

And how did the “Duke of Monroe” go from being “Your Grace” to “Your Highness” (or is it really “Your Hineyness”) in a week’s time??? Was there some sort of palace coup that installed him as a prince that I am not aware of?

 

Hopefully he is not being referred to in the Machiavellian sense... some others possibly... but Rick??? NEVER!

The world awaits the first post on the message center since the coronation of Prince Lucky the First. Aides de camp have said that the prince plans to speak to the populace "sometime this week." Prince Lucky is in retreat preparing his remarks, something he never did before his coronation. "One looks upon things with a different eye after the royal touch," his chief aide said. "And Prince Lucky is determined that his first royal message will bring peace to those in distress, and comfort for those with pain." Suppositories would do the same thing, but hey, you wouldn't want Prince Lucky inserting those.
