Who's Who in the linuep:

 

MICHAEL: from Brooklyn, and not in his usual "perfect" shape. Michael has put on some weight around the waist and appears to be less muscular. His stage show has also changed, it was very mellow and not as lively and interactive as in the past... He's a young dancer with brown spiked hair, brown eyes, a swimmers build, broad shoulders, and is vgl. One thing that hasn't changed about Michael is his fabulous fuzzy bubble butt. HOOT!

 

ALEX: a G-regular who's known for his very friendly stage personality. He has spiked blond hair, blue eyes, a medium muscular build, pumped up pecs, a big smile, and great looks. His stage show consists of posing and flexing... Alex takes the prize for longest held erection. He entered for his 1st song with it bulging through his tight fitting jeans and left hard after he completed his 2nd song. :9 Alex, like Michael, has a cute fuzzy butt.

 

JAMES: a G-regular who also dances at the Stock. He's 5'9", with the good looks of a model. He has dark hair, big brown eyes, pouty lips, a lean muscular build and silky smooth skin. He's a very deliberate dancer, perhaps professionally trained. He looks very serious on stage, but has a friendly personality off. Second song he enters with a rock hard mushroom head cock.

 

STEVEN: a Madrigals dancer who was making his Gaiety debut. He's average height, with blond hair and blue eyes. He has manly good looks and was sporting a rather stern face throughout his performance. He has a medium build and displays a few arm tattoos. His dance style is slow and should improve as he becomes more comfortable on stage.

MATTEO: is a good looking guy with a medium muscular build. He has blond streaked hair, a pierced left nipple and two silver dollar size scars on his butt cheeks. I think somebody must have bitten him (twice). He looks good enough to eat too especially when he comes out for his second number with that big hardon. Matteo is very friendly in the Lounge and multi-lingual, which of course means many tongues which strikes me as very sexy.

 

JASON ADONIS: Porn star and perenial Gaiety favorite, it's always a pleasure to see Jason when he shows up for his engagements. To me he looks like a big cherub with muscles. Yesterday he was hiding that beautiful baby face under a baseball cap that kept his face in shadow. Don't do this Jason! He was also sporting a small mysterious tattoo just above his dick with the letters "MSW". Jason always looks good on stage and his butt alone is worth the price of admission. CHRISTOPHER: The new kid on the block and I think he'll be real popular. He's a cute blond and could almost be a twink except for those muscular pecs and abs. He's a fun dancer to watch on stage. Very "light on his feet" my seat mate said. His English may need a little work so we should all see if we can teach him a thing or two.

 

MARK: He brought along Christopher in his luggage so we can thank him for that. This dark haired Stock dancer reminded me of the actor John Cusack, probably with more muscle though. He's a lively dancer with a cute smile.

What ever happened to the daus when NYO used to report on 12(sometimes 13) performers. A cutback to 7 is rather drastic - no?

No, actually there has not been a cut back. There have always been only seven dancers on weekdays, and then the roster is expanded to 12-14 on weekends.

 

NYO would wait until the full roster was on stage on the weekend to write his greatly missed and very useful reviews. It is good to get the lineup early in the week, but NYOs care, detail and objectivity in reviews may never be duplicated.

Just joined this site...only been to the Gaiety once before this weekend, but your reviews had me going back the past two nights : )

 

Totally new to gay strip clubs and it was definitely and experience.

After going through this site and reading a lot of the posts, I really wanted to tip the guys but I didnt have the balls to go up to the stage !!!

 

However I did have the balls to hire Christopher from Montreal. This guy is 25 years old and an incredible friendly guy. Totally straight but totally comfortable with gay guys and performing services. Really had a good time...laughed a lot...he is really ripped, pretty short, very cute.

 

Jason Adonis looked cool...I didnt realize that he was a big porn star until I saw him on the screen before the dancers went on. He is advertised at $300 on rentboy. Too big a star for me

Dancer Christopher is new to the G and I'm certain, if he sticks around, he's going to become very popular. Btw, yours is the 1st report on doing a private with him. It sounds like he lived up to your expectations.

 

As for erotic star Jason Adonis, he told me he's no longer under contract with Falcon Studios. He will continue making porn but on his own terms. As for his $300 fee, I know it sounds steep, but he's worth it. :9 Right now he's got the best butt on Broadway.

NYO's reviews were a great read every Monday morning, and I thouroughly enjoyed them. We are still fortunate to have the benefit of his point of view here in the MC.

 

Cooper and foxy, on the other hand, give us advice that we can use since their reviews come out while the dancers are still performing on the Gaiety stage. As enjoyable as a post mortem review is, the current procedure gives one the chance to hurry over to see a favorite performer or a hot newcomer. (At least it does if you live nearby.)

 

We are just plain lucky to have such guys who are willing to keep us up to date and vicariously thrilled!

I know most of the dancers at Madrigals but no one has the name Steven. Is it possible he's Marc? The description fits him to a tee. If so, he's a great guy. Take good care of him.

The Steven/Marc posts remind me of how the strip-club scene in Chicago differs from what Gaiety-goers are used to--and tend to take for granted.

 

I'm in the Windy City right now, and I've paid a few visits to Madrigal's over the last three weeks. As much as I love this city (a big, beautiful, friendly place--an 'idealized' New York in many ways), I have to admit I miss good old 46th Street. The total-nudity vs. thong-and-posing pouch issue isn't the only thing. While Chicago can't really compete with New York for quality and variety of dancers (even though some appear in both cities), the decisive difference--to me, in any case--is the way you get to watch them perform. This is a seldom-mentioned point.

 

Madrigals is, after all, a friendly neighborhood bar right in the heart of the gay district. It's not a hustler hangout or a pay-for-sex place in any sense--so the crowd is naturally younger, livelier, and not especially "buyer" oriented. Gaiety-goers like me (who are likely to be older and client types) may find it hard to enjoy watching the dancers--not from the comfort of a theater seat--but standing in a densely packed crowd of drinkers. And on the weekend nights (when the shows tend to be best), this means lots of noisy jostling about.

 

A second little-noted difference is that on any night a dancer is performing (from mid-evening till closing time), he's not really available for privates. (This difference, I know, is more of an inconvenience to the dancer than the patron, since old Gaiety regulars usually warn you off privates wedged in between stage appearances, anyway!)

 

But, for all that, being in Chicago is always a wonderful experience, and Madrigals has much to recommend it.

 

BTW, let me now extend a belated birthday greeting to VDN--whose wit and wisdom are, in fact, ageless.

My sources in Montreal tell me that Oliver will not be appearing this weekend at the Gaiety. So far Denise has not booked him for another time. We'll keep you posted.

Regarding Madrigal's, most of their dancers are very well qualified, but the lighting seems to be on a consistent decline. Juan (the owner) now has enough flashing lights and strobes for a much larger bar but usually no longer uses any of his spots, so it's essentially impossible to really appreciate the dancer. Could enough complaints register with him? The dancers are available for privates (essentially lap dances) upstairs at $50/ten minutes, and they normally have an hour when five dancers are doing 15 minute sets. Juan also does a "private party" (purchase $30 ticket in advance) from 5-8 on the last Sunday of the month. He has 10-12 dancers nude and touching is still allowed. I quit going quite a while back when he decided it would be sexy to run the second half of the show in essential darkness. The Jackhammer bar does the same on the 3rd Saturday of the month and lights the dancers well. They usually have about 7-8 local guys; info at http://www.chicagobeef.com.

 

Your work keeping us up to date at the Gaiety is great. Can't wait to read this coming Monday's because I'll be there next weekend. It will be nice to really see the dancers.
