Unfortunately there are few black dancers in the trip bars in Montreal. After 9PM at Campus, there are two or three, and there are several Latino dancers there. If you are interested in more specifics, send me a private e-mail. Stock has no black dancers at the moment, but there are several from Mexico and the Caribbean. L'Adonis has at least two black dancers, one who has been there for many years--I think they are both from Dom. Republic.

Fugues Magazine has adverts for escorts---several are black, and the agency--Agence Bel Homme lists several Beaux Noirs from Senegal and Haiti.

Perhaps the comments above weren't posted to elicit serious replies, but~~~~ there are plenty of "people of colour" in Montreal. I don't go to the clubs along Ste. Catherine, but every time I visit I see literally scores of young, good-looking males and females lining up, waiting for entrance. I suspect, and those living in Montreal can correct me if I'm wrong, that there is a limited interest in dancers who are dark-skinned among the regular clientel. I have heard rumours that one strip bar in particular has little interest in hiring dancers who are "dusky."

If there are others who go to the strip bars and are interested in "culturistes", I would hope they would chime in with their own experiences.

Hello FFF,

Nice to see you back. How is your M4M probation going? Because you are intelligent, and your posts have been missed by some, I am sure you made the above comment because you were bored and you wanted to cause a scene. I don't believe you are THAT ignorant, callus, bigoted and insensitive.

I don't think Montreal is much different from other major North American cities in regards to blacks in and around the gay community. While cities in the USA may have larger black populations than Montreal, the presence of blacks in gay clubs tends to be under-representative. I found this to be the case in Miami, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and any number of other US cities I have visited or lived in over the last 25 years. For instance, there was a thread recently commenting on the relative lack of black dancers at the Gaiety.

There are several reasons for this, in my mind, including socio-cultural traditions, economic factors, political traditions etc which all have contributed to a creating barriers between the races in North American culture. This is no surprise.

That being said, there are a few blacks in Montreal who cater to gay clients in the club/escort/hustler scene. I agree that since the demand is limited, the number of blacks available fluctuates in the lower registers, so to speak. The other night, I saw one black dancer at Stock, there are usually one or two at Campus and there are a handful of black escorts and erotic masseurs. One has to take into account as well the language barrier in Montreal, since most North American blacks don't speak French (in Montreal we have a relatively large Haitian community but their presence in the gay community is very small).

To sum up, if you want a black experience in Montreal you can find it but the choice will be limited.
