Just returned from a long weekend to Montreal. The waiter Dennis told me that some of you were looking for me-but that I had just left-SORRY I MISSED YOU!Next time we will have to plan a way of recognizing each other.HooBoy Hats and Tshirts(hey HooBoy-marketing idea)

Anyway-I had a great visit-EXCEPT-being stood up by one of the dancers(no call-no show)and having rotten privates with two others.

The one that stood me up has been asking"so when are we going to get together"for three years-he is sexy and kinky so I was looking forward to some adventurous playtime-a total no show, both for my appointment and for the entire Labour day weekend at the club he works in.

The less than stellar(waste of my time)privates by two of the other boys has led me to a new policy.I will not hire these fellas for privates AFTER their shift at the clubs. If they want to make some extra cash they can come to my hotel before their shift.I will also only allow a window of 1/2 hour for tardiness.I am also going to spell out what I expect them to do for me,and that I do not pay full price for a non performing unit.

I did have a wonderful date with one of my regulars(who is no longer working at a club-he is doing construction)He showed me a really good time-even inviting me to spend a day with his friends at Mt.Tremblant.

So take my experience and make of it what you will.I am glad that I have many other interest in Montreal that make for an enjoyable stay.

I saw MAMBO ITALIANO at the Paramount=what a great comedy. Also saw Matrix 2 on the IMAX-horrible movie-incredible theatre.I also went to the EXCENTRIS movie house on St Laurent-incredible techno movie house. The MosaicCulture at the old port was much larger this year-an very enjoyable way to passer le temps.

I will also think twice about going up for a holiday weekend-the clubs were so crowded that I did not get to spend time with some of my favaorites.

And to answer a question asked in anouther thread-no Mickey in site this entire trip, also no Roberto-I was really looking forward to bot of these guy,oh well next time.

Hi Jakobson,That is one of the reasons(I have a few)that I refuse to stay at the Gouverneur any more.Stayed at the Holiday Inn Select at the convention center(two blocks from Notre Dame)for $55 USD through priceline-about half what the gouv' was charging.Much nicer room-huge bathroom-than the Gouv'not quite as convenient to the village-but I like to walk and it is a short metro-cab ride away.

I had a similar experience my last trip to Montreal. Also, the guys tried to raise their price once they got to my room. We agreed on C$200 but they tried to get US$200. What's the going rate on a private with a dancer from Stock or Campus? And what is the per song cost for lap/table dances? I was told it's C$6 for no touching but everyone pays C$10 to touch. I'd appreciate your informing us of the identities of your no-call, no-shows. Thanks!

US $200 is way out there for a private with most. There are some that may be worth that but very few-and those that ask such prices know they will not get anywhere near that price from their quebecois regulars.

$100-$200 CAD is the norm for most of the fellas dancing in the clubs, but a lot will depend on your relationship with them-and if their rent is due!

With the exception of Taboo(rip)the six dollar dance is a thing of the past in the male clubs.Adonis used to have a $6/$10 sign posted, that is gone, and one of the clubs used to have a special-$6-for a $10 dollar dance on a certain day of the week-that is gone too.

Street boys will go with you for$20-$100CAD(don't expect too much from them)On my last trip there were very few boys working the streets, and a very noticible increse in police presense in the park behind the Bourbon.

Maybe I am just lucky that I never had any problems with hiring in Montreal. I was never asked seriously for a lot of money for hiring. Twice at the Stock different dancers asked me for $200.00 Canadian. I just looked and said "some other time." Immediately the price dropped to what I consider reasonable. Some hires were not as good as others and some were great. But, as Mae West used to say, "the worst I ever had was wonderful."

Another trick being played by the LÁdonis boys is to do a private across the street at the Ste. Catherine hotel, which alledgely has a hourly rate. Once you give your money through bullet-proff glass ($25-35CND), things start getting complicated: rate changes, 'need to call the manager', key and room is available...

Glutes has it wrong; the Bourbon Hotel on Ste Catherine has rooms for rent for an hour at $30 Cdn and the Hotel Dorion above the Taboo has a room for $25. The latter has what looks like a bullet proof glass tellers window at the front desk, whereas the Bourbon front desk is wide open. Staff at both places are VERY friendly and there is ABSOLUTELY no hassle with the hotel staff. Now the dancers, that's maybe a different situation...}(

Hello Luv:

Glutes does not have it wrong! He is talking about the Ste Catherine Hotel which is across the street from L'adonis. Ste Catherine Hotel has not been open very long, perhaps a year or less. The hotel has no telephones in the rooms. Most of the people who stay there are the homeless people from the park behind Bourbon. The homeless people share a room when they have funds available. The hotle is a pit and the owners of Ste Catherine Hotel are not friendly to guests. I have seen the place and cannot imagine anyone feeling safe spending a night at that hotel.

Cheers

Mea Culpa! I checked it out after I wrote itand did indeed see that the Hotel Ste Catherine is across from the Adonis. It does look like a hole, though, and wouldn't recommend it. Also it was closed last night after 1 am whereas the Bourbon and Dorion both had rooms available at that hour for an hour at the rates I stated. In fact I took advantage of the Hotel Dorion to have some fun with a hottie who was with me at the time!!!}(

Over-all I found alot of cock teasing going on in Montreal. The best dancers would not do off-premise privates, they just want you to do multiple non-interactive privates at their venues.

So $10(CND) for a 3 minute song x 4 songs gets expensive. Don't let them hold you in your seat when the next song comes on, this is a practice that goes on quite commonly to let them run up the bill.

Of course. Well, most of them are straight... (Campus and Stock)

Best is always found in the eye of the beholder :) There are a lot of hot looking straight guys, some gay for pay but far from all.

My experience is that if the dancer goes around the track :) he will pop the question within two songs. (If not, then you should.) Even so, don't take this as a fool-proof indicator of a great time. Give him an interview in the back to sense his comfort level and performance limits and read the personality and attitude too -- a song or two after the question should do it. There are countless stories of hotel room conversions. Don't pay up front and inform him that full fee requires full service and the service expected should be made explicit up front. Make sure he understands you dont pay money just for a statuesque appearance. LOL...

yeah, you're right!!! actually, the song must last for 5 min. but on the weekends - when there are lots of customers - DJ is cutting them down to 3-4. and what else - usually guys are adding 1 or two songs to their bill - kind of we cannot count!!!

As one whose experience with Montreal dancers goes back a looooong way, I can attest to the fact that what you see is NOT necessarily what you get! Remember these guys are dancers FIRST. They may do escort services, or they may not. They may be part-time hustlers, or maybe not. They may be gay, or maybe not. Etc etc. So you need to ASK! Discuss EVERYTHING your little heart desires FIRST, and you may get the straight goods. Or you may NOT.

Of course, that's part of the fun, never quite knowing what will happen (or not, as the case may be). I am rather philosophical about it and if something does not turn out quite as I had hoped I chalk it up to experience. But I have had some rather amazing experiences with dancers over the years and find that if you show you are not a pushover, you will generally avoid the really horrible letdowns.

For instance, if I like a dancers looks and think I want more than just a dance, I start quizzing him during the first and second songs. If I am not getting the responses I want, I let it go after 2 songs, only $20 Cdn invested and hey, I got to touch him at least!}(

Thank you vakh!

At Campus I actually witnessed the dancers selecting their own music (shortest playing??) out of the jukebox before doing a private. And since I was accurately song counting one of the dancers insisted that I have a alcoholic drink!!

Insisted huh? How did that turn out?

BTW, I would have agreed but insist that he buy -- one per song!! I can count drinks easier than songs. :+ But three is my limit and his... lol; and three might make one good drink elsewhere.
