Yes, there have been discussions regarding the Nob Hill and Campus at this site. Check those archives. Personally, all three venues have gone down considerably since the late 70s and the 80s. I use to go to the Tearoom before I engaged the services of escorts and really liked the joint (the place and what I received from the men). Today I am told that it is a dive-- really seedy.

The Nob Hill charges over $20.00 to enter, and the dancers are NOT all that hot either nowadays. The theater has almost ceased hiring TOP named porn stars/dancers. (Note info about this in the archives.)

I think it was last year that I went to the Campus, which btw, has a new name now if I remember correctly; I walked in-- perused the environment-- and left immediately. Two rather unappealing dancers were present, and in the corner sat an older man masturbating. It was DEFINITELY NOT the Campus that I once knew and frequented.

So, I think that is why you had not received any responses. All three places are the pits when it comes to strip clubs/houses.

This is definitely a sad state of affairs when it comes to where these venues are located... THINGS certainly have changed, and for worse rather than better!

Yes, what makes the situation even more frustrating is remembering how great both The Campus and The Nob Hill USED to be - and not all that long ago. I think my first time at either place was in 1995 and I had plenty of good times right up into 1999 or thereabouts. The weird part is that both of these places seemed to self destruct almost on purpose when they each stopped hiring weekly porn star headliners. They had something really special with that, like no other venue in the country. I'm so glad I got to see so many great porn star favorites there when I did. I keep hoping that one or both of these places will come to their senses and re-instate the headliners, but I doubt it will happen. Very sad.

Add to that the fact that LA has NOTHING to offer in the way of strip clubs, and I can safely say that non-California residents aren't missing anything!;(

Just glancing at their site it seem obvious that they are not featuring the hot guys that once graced the Nob stage. There really are no true male strip clubs in California that I'm aware of. Looks as if we will all need to relocate to Montreal.

I remember how I used to look forward to going to SF and visiting these places. The first time I visited a strip club was Nobhill Theater and Travis Wade was the headliner. I didn't know who Travis was back then but was impressed with his tool. As I did not know the rules of the game, I was too shy to touch Travis but it left a lasting memory. I'm lucky since I'm less than an hour's flight to Montreal.

The Nob Hill was the first "gay" thing I ever did. I was on a trip to SF and decided I had to go to see if I was really gay. SO I sat there watching the movie for about 20 minutes, making sure that nobody sat next to me. At one point I went to the toilet to pee and was surprised to see that guys actually just stood around watching. Shortly after I went back to my seat, the lights came on. I dashed out of there faster than a speeding bullet. All I can remember about the movie are the urinals.

It would be several more months before I made another gay foray.

Lucky, your experience brought back memories to me: it's not the urinals, but the film that was showing and its effects on me.

I went to the Nob Hill to see BOYS IN THE SAND. The action was so hot, especially the scene depicting the man shoving his dick in some nonhuman hole, or was it human? The only thing I remember is that I shot the biggest wad in pants and left the theater embarrassed yet feeling delightful instead of going to the toilet to clean up. My thoughts and actions went definitely awry. I'll always remember this as well as the film being one of the best of its kind for that era if not today, too.

I was last in SF a couple years ago, and a couple years before that, trying to recapture the rush I had gotten at places like the Nob and Campus a decade earlier. All of the posts on this thread confirm my sense from my last visit: not to go out of my way to visit SF, at least for stripperboiz. Are there really no bars or clubs with hot dancers who get naked and nasty with customers?? So much for the gay mecca and land of Falcon......

How disappointing!! x(
