:( It's a sad time in NYC these days. I still remember memorable encounters at Stella's... Those days are long gone. For the past two years I've been trying to get a sense of where all these beautiful guys (from Stella's, I mean) have retired to

I was told to try The Monster: Well if there are any hustlers there, they are very discreet. Bottom line, you probably will hook up with a regular guy before you find an escort here...

Then, across the street,Stonewall was apparently THE place for hot latinos and ethnic guys: never found a hustler there either...

And I'm pretty hot looking. Usually can hook up with whoever I want but appreciate the no-strings-attached and no-fuss of hiring once in a while.

Then, I was told the Rawhide was the place to go. It's so small and everyone there has the look of rentboys but I never encountered any hustlers there either.

It leaves the tired and boring Townhouse that I avoid because it's not my idea of a sexually charged place... all those older gents can really mellow things to a point where you wonder why you even came there in the first place... and I seriously doubt any of them really qualify to be "sugar-daddies", it seems all pretense and fake to me: very pseudo nouveau-riche on credit....but , of course trying to be waspy and worldly... BORING

I'm not done.... Someone told me about the Toolbox on the UES. Nice place with a few very hot guys but nothing for rent there either.

WHERE ARE THEY ALL!!!!! I cant believe all these guys retired to their laptop and rentboy.com.....

So if anyone has any great idea where to get some pay-for-play in NYC these days PLEASE post ASAP!:7

its a sad commentary on what used to be america's most exciting city---no more excitement, at least not if you're looking for rent-a-dick outside of the escort services. what a loss. i stopped going to nyc some years ago just because its so expensive and so disneyfied. i wonder if people still play in the rambles or is that gone too? :-(

And the man to blame could be the next President. Scarey thought!

He'd make the country so pure, Ivory soap would have to close down.

How about Julius(not sure of the spelling)? I know there were rentboys there several years ago and the bar is still open.Don't remember the address but you walk past Stonewall to the corner, make a left and go 1 block. It's on the far left corner.

I agree with you Gringo. This seems to be a phenomenon throughout the country. Have you tried picking up anything in L.A. lately??? Same story, nobody is out there. Santa Monica Boulevard is cleaned up and West Hollywood is more and more straight. No street cruising either. The police is extremely homophibic there and has "sanitized" every corner of that city except maybe Silverlake.

And dont mention Miami or Fort Lauderdale... straighter than ever.

Can anybody cheer me up with some exciting venue???

Pretty much the same in LA.

I have to agree that Santa Monica BLVD is DEAD. I recount my couple latest cruises (including last night) on the website in my signature. Thank god for Craig's List...

I'm not sure I'd say the WeHo Sheriffs are homophobic... what with the rainbow flag city logo painted on the sides of their cars. But they sure do manage to keep the prostitution and public sex out of the area you'd expect it to be most prevalent in. I've luckily never seen them at work but I'd believe they hit it pretty hard. LAPD doesn't do quite as "good" a job down past La Brea, but there's less and less out there of late too.

Strangely (Just like NY, apparently) the working guys weren't pushed off the street into places like Spotlight or Numbers. Maybe some are on Rentboy and Craig's List, but not many. I'd guess the rest are either in jail (probably mandatory minimums for possession of the Crystal Meth so many are addicted to... combined with California's third-strike BS) or living for the next hit down MacArthur Park/Skid Row way.

Any New Yorkers reading who could comment on the Rambles area of Central Park? I had some exciting moments on the very tip, just opposite the boat house.

I loooove the Rambles! I've had so much sex in there it's ridiculous. If you want to do some outdoor cruising for anonymous sex it's def a great place to go (only place I like better is the meatrack on fire island).

I also must say in regards to the townhouse that I used to go there from time to time to look for clients. I always found it quite enjoyable as I would meet many interesting guys. Sometimes I didn't end up with a client, but I had fantastic conversation and had drinks bought for me all night, so it was fun.
