Mostly just drive SMB to enjoy the scenery now, though there is one guy I've been with a couple times I'd pickup again in a heartbeat...

 

The numbers of working boys have picked up a little, especially late evenings, but not anything to be excited about. There was a hot blonde-ish guy in a brown leather jacket I may have considered had he been less shy about approaching the car. I also noticed a hot blonde female (I think, one never knows on SMB) obviously looking for work, first time I'd seen that on SMB... would've thought 'sting' except that she walked in the rain from Weho all the way past Orange...

 

Spotlight's seemed a little busier too, there's one guy, tall, very average body, mid-twenties I'd guess who tries to latch onto me every time he sees me, I don't even think we'd met but he seems to think I've hired him and am looking to again. Sad thing is I'd consider it, except for his over-familiarity. Couple hotties in there late Saturday night, didn't get the lowdown on any. Why do the hot ones, IN THE DAMN HUSTLER BAR, always seem to be paired up or otherwise too busy with friends? Oh well, saves me money... }(

 

Last time we had an LA Hooville (how about another the 9th or 16th?) Numbers was busier then I've seen it in a long time, at least a half dozen hotties (and maybe another half dozen others) throughout the evening.

 

And finally, what's really picked up (especially w/guys in the Hollywood area) is Craig's list. Do a search for m4m here:

I should really get out more often. I have been such a good boy recently and missing out all those actions in SMB. But I will be careful though, don't want to end up getting a ticket or something. Hasn't the risk of getting caught always been a little part of the fun and intrigue in street cruising? Wouldn't that just make Craig's List a little more fun as well?

Lucky interesting view but I do not feel that is correct. As someone who spent 5 solid years cruising Hollywood the thrill for me was always the hunt.You spot someone, then need to get back to their location, then work the deal. That is what had me attracted to the streets.

For me at least, you're right about the cruising... the massive shot of nervousness and adrenaline I've gotten looking to pickup somebody on SMB probably has a lot to do with my interest. If it was just the sex, that's far more reliable with a much more varied selection right here. If it was the bargains, well you can often do just as well on CL and that's also higher quality hookups. The rush of picking up a street hustler seems as addictive as the sex, even though pursuing it isn't healthy.

 

I don't think the increased danger of CL really competes, it's just not as exciting.

 

I'm sure the danger looses it's allure once one gets busted...

Took the scenic route again tonight...

 

Went into Hollywood for a CL escort hookup, if you're all good I may post about him in the Deli soon, but while I was working on setting that up I, of course, cruised SMB several times.

 

First pass, two cop cars within a couple blocks of each other pulled over at corners with boys in handcuffs... So even if I had been looking to hire I wouldn't have, as I imagine the first step in setting up a sting is clear away any 'competition'. That's just a hunch, but it makes too much sense to ignore. Noticed a hell of a lot of Sheriff's cars about all night.

 

Still killing time, I took several more passes, noticed a couple hot guys but none where obviously working. Finally on the last pass I saw a couple obvious ones, but nothing to write about.

 

Also swung by Spotlight, no parking as usual but ran in for a look-see, one skinny young-ish guy towards the back looked to be working, a couple well past-prime guys at the bar may have been.

 

So from what I saw I'd guess there may be a little bit of an after holiday increase in guys looking to make some cash, I have also noticed quite a few more on Craig's List just tonight (but keep in mind that Law Enforcement also sometimes patrols there).

 

So not very exciting but there was a hint of potential in the air. Now if only the air wasn't so damn cold and wet so one could get a look at the goods... }(

I went to dinner Monday night in Weho to have dinner with another M4M and we sat outside on the patio at Numbers to have a drink. There were 6 guys working on a Monday night(almost the same number of customers)! One, Salvador, 23 yr. Mexican, short, VGL, bodybuilder, plus three others that were all "above" average. I don't usually hire in L.A., but...I was really tempted by Salvador!! Reminds me of the Rio guys! I asked him what he did and he said, body worship and "receives Oral", sounds like he's been working the Gaiety!! lol , so I passed, but he seemed like a really nice guy and very handsome, if he said he kissed I think I would have hired him just for that, beautiful eyes and lips, told me his grandparents were from Spain, said he works most nights at Numbers. I went to the bar to order and the guy sitting next to the walkup area, said hi, Latin, from Maryland, lean, about 25yr. and very soft spoken guy, he said he does "everything". I said "your idea and mine of what everything is might be different?" He said, I kiss, suck and fuck. He said he is usually there on Weds. through Friday nights, for those of you looking, it seems Numbers has picked up!

Took another drive yesterday afternoon...

 

Granted, I didn't expect all that much in the rain, but other then the requisite several black drag queens there was nothing. Also stopped by Spotlight. Don't know where the street hustlers go when it sucks to be outside, but it's not the hustler bar. Saw the cops busting another guy at a corner on SMB as well, which may have even more to do with the sudden drop then the weather.

 

I did hook up with my recent Craig's List find again, damn he's good at oral...
