I was wondering, is there any american equivalent of the European houses of boys? Here in Philly there are tons of brothels with ladies, but I know of absolutely none with men. I would like to be able to walk into an establishment and have my pick of at least a few different guys. This is not to replace hiring a bona fide escort, just as an option for something different once in a while. Does anything like this exist, especially in the Philadelphia area? Thanks!:)

There are no Walk In type male brothels anywhere in the United States that I'm aware of. The establishments you're referring to in Philadelhia or in any big city are Massage Parlors where, for a little extra cash, you'll get more than just a massage from a female. Premier would be the closest thing to what you're looking for but they do not take walk ins as escorts are not always there just hanging out. Only on occassion when they're finished a call they may stop in and sit for a bit but you need to make an appointment for an IN call: 888-765-6665. Check them out at: http://www.PremierEscorts.com

Re: Massage parlors.

Not really. I have (in my earlier days) been to bona fide whorehouses/brothels of varying degrees of sophistication.

And yeah, you really did pick the girl from a crew who were sitting in their negliges, talking to and entertaining the male clientele. She escorted you to a room and you got naked and....

Been to ones in NYC, LA, Boston and Hartford, so they are pretty common.

I've been to the same type of establishment that exFratboy refers to. Usually they will escort you into a parlor and then all of the girls working that day will walk in the room, say their name and wink or smile or whatever. I always wanted to say "Er, do any guys work here?" but never did.:) And they wondered why I had such a hard time cumming!;)

Also there are the Oriental establishments but these offer massage and a "table bath". At the end the girl takes you to a room and asks if she can do anything else for you. I wish I could find a place like this but with hot guys!

I live close to Nevada and hoped to find a male brothel there. Even though brothels are legal in Nevada, I've been told that only female "escorts" are allowed. :'(

I don't think there is a place in the USA like those I visited in Europe. The closest I've found is a bath house (and yes, there are still some around).

A couple of guys I used in the early to mid-90s in DC used to say that there was a place up off Connecticut Ave, where they'd wait, but maybe just appointments?

Actually, brothels are legal in ALL counties in Nevada EXCEPT two: the ones that include Reno (Washoe Co.) and Las Vegas (Clark Co.) I believe they're also illegal in Carson City, which encompasses all of the former Douglas County.

Since there seems to be so much interest in finding one of these establishments, maybe we should all get together and invest in one! Pretty soon it could be a nationwide chain-- we could call it Guys 'R' Us or something....

Well, another reason that they probably won't fly---- look at how few gay strip clubs there are. For example, in L.A., there are a TON of "gentlemen's clubs" with naked women... but absolutely ZERO places with full male nudity. If a city the size of L.A. (and with such a huge gay population) won't support a nude club, would they support a brothel? (Of course one of the problems with nude clubs in LA-- no liquor.)

A few years ago, one of the brothels indicated that they intended to have some male prostitutes for female clients. It got quite a negative reaction and nothing came of it. At the time, I thought that a small gay brothel might have some economic possibilities. However,as mentioned by previous posters, legal brothels are about an hour away from Las Vegas -- so any commercial expansion of legal prostitution has real limitations. (And for the time being, there's no movement to legalize prostitution in Las Vegas -- although that issue does resurface from time to time.) In addition, brothel prices run very high. A gay brothel couldn't charge similar rates as a female brothel and compete with aol and the internet. I wish Brazil and Amsterdam weren't so far away!

It's my understanding that Nevada's legal brothels are currently restricted to those counties that have fairly small populatons. I also understand that there are a number of restrictions about what you can and cannot do sexually -- i.e., condoms are mandatory (even for oral sex) and anal sex is against the rules.(The latter restriction could be a bit of a problem at a gay brothel.)

Even Amsterdam has only two functioning "clubs" at the moment, and they are pretty pathetic. What surprised me was that even though there are hundreds of women operating legally in the red light district, sitting behind their streetside windows in their underwear eager to invite customers into their bedrooms, there are no men doing the same. I was told by a local that a few guys tried it a couple of years ago, but the authorities quickly decided that it was unacceptable. I think the only real male brothels are in southeast Asia, and unfortunately most of the "employees" are very young kids who are forced into the business.

If you are referring to Thailand, your assessment could not be more wrong. All but a couple places strictly enforce the government's minimum age of 20 for sex workers. Many have "boys" working who are as old as thirty. You may find some under 18's working the streets -- but rarely, if ever, in the clubs and massage parlors (except for one or two notorious and very seedy places that cater to pedo's).

And the myth of kids being "forced" into the business is nothing more than that -- a myth.

Trust me -- I've lived in Thailand for 12 years and definitely know what goes on here.

I just want to note that Icon is the co-moderator of the Thailand forum on CFS. He knows nearly every inch of the country and has shared his great wealth with all. It's nice to see him visiting this site.

Cheers! Ritchie

That is not true...Brothels are legal in many counties, including but not limited to Lyon, Humbolt and Elko. Brothels are not legal in the larger areas, such as Clark, and Washoe. Generally it is left up to the towns to decide if the towns are under a certain population.

I live in Nevada, and you are correct in regards to brothels being legalized, and also in the assumption that males are not allowed in these establishments other than as patrons. Unfortunate to many!!!

Icon,

A couple questions or thoughts, please. I visited Thailand, a spectacular country with the most incredibly gracious people, a few years ago. I went to 3-4 of the clubs to check out the scene, and the hundreds of boys I saw in the clubs all looked quite young. And I mean QUITE young. I am not attracted to "young" and spent a good deal of time looking for "more mature." Simply could not be found. A good amount of this could be due to my lack of exposure to Thais and just not recognizing age differences. But in reading the daily English paper out of Bangkok, I was stunned with the daily reporting of news about children in the sex industry, about its impact on the national economy, about a brothel run by Germans that had drug addicted kids as young as 11 years old being busted, about a monastary being closed down because of abuse of children under its care. It was startling to read virtually every day for the 3 weeks I was there. If it is not an issue in Thailand, and that reports are so exagerated, why is information about child-sex and prostitution mentioned in even the travel books about Thailand.

I don't mean this to start a fight. It just wasn't how I experienced the issue while there.

No chance. This sort of trespassing will not be tolerated. I think stoning is in order.

I enjoy seeing mutilated Taliban as much as the next guy, but the one thing they have right is their policy governing women - particularly the clothing requirements. Someone get a burka on kathryn - preferably one of the ones equipped with a gag.
