BigK, it's sad to say, but it would seem there's very little action of that sort in The City these days. For a while, I had a tremendous amount of optimism about the block or so around Esta Noche Bar in the Mission, but apparently I was just really lucky. Last time I snooped around there, there was no sign of street action (2 months ago)

A friend of mine (who's not a consumer of escorts) claimed he was propositioned at the Badlands recently. But I wouldn't put all my eggs in that basket...

I think sometimes the occasional "juvy delinquent"

type will be found in the Castro on weekend evenings, either in Harvey Milk Plaza or on the corner of Castro/18th, at the bus-stop next to the Walgreens. But most likely they'll be queeny 17 year olds, high on something.

There are still two hooker bars on Polk street(although they are a sad,dim shadow-or REFLECTION-of what used to be.

I do hope the Polk Street Merchants Association is pleased with itself,it has turned a slightly seedy-but fun-area into a blighted area with more buisnesses closed than open.

Sorry BigK,the only scene for attractive boys is the Nob Hill Theatre.And that is not what it used to be.

SF is definitely NOT what it was during the 60s, 70s and 80s in terms of picking up guys from the streets! Perhaps one of these days or years something exciting will happen in this department!

Is that what they are calling the Campus these days?Lasdt time I was there the only dancers were very nasty third world junkies(or they appeared to be such)not worth the time or cab fare.The "millionaire"who took over the place-Terrance something or other-has run this venue right into the sewer.Too bad,I have found memories of blowing some major meat(Chad Donovan,Scott o'Hara and many more)there during it's Glory Days.

I was visiting San Francisco over President's Day weekend, and what a disappointment. Polk Street is the deadest I've ever seen it. Even Castro was disappointing. Ah, for the good old days.

"Ah, for the good old days!" You're absolutely correct, Denver Traveler. The glory days in the gayest city in the US are virtually over. As somewhat of a native-- I find the once gayest scene in SF completely dead, almost dried up. It is definitely not the 70s, 80s, early 90s anymore, for sure. That's why I now go with selective escorts.

I actually saw a cute hustler on Polk Street in front of that bar across from the Leland Hotel. At least he looked like he was one.

BTW, there is so much free sex available in SF I didn't need to hire anyone. That BlowBuddies place should be called the Ejaculatorium! The Steamworks was steaming. The only dud club was Powerworks., or Powerstation, something like that, which is way too huge to generate any sexual energy. Plus it is just plain weird there.
