I don't think he ever left the business. He was only permanently banned from this forum.

There is more to this story than being banned from this forum.

But I am not going to speculate on gossip, but if I can find the facts I will share

Since we are coming back to Steve, here are my 2 cents. I met the guy many times back in the day, and I always enjoyed his pleasant company, his flawless body, and his outstanding sexual skills. I stopped seeing him because I left Europe and also because, although physically amazing, he was becoming a bit too ripped and too old for my taste. I was truly surprised about his meltdown in this forum, because aggressive behavior was not something I associated with the sweet, kind, and accommodating personality that I knew.

I guess he is retired now.

I'm not in favour of ancient controversies being revived. Draker had a coterie of loyal fans and many critics. IMHO he's like Voldemort and should never be mentioned.

This particular controversy wouldn't have been revived if there wasn't a game of tit for tat dredging up old posts to illustrate a point. I'm going to weigh in here and do not mean to sound preachy.

Ancient controversies are a part of the history of this and other such sites. There have been a lot of escort and client meltdowns on this site in its nearly 20 years. There's always going to be someone here who remembers some issue or incident from the past. The Message Center Rememers so to speak.

True, it is often best to "let sleeping dogs lie" most of the time. However, it is necessary at times to mention such controversial issues to provide background and/or context for newer members unfamiliar with the history. There are a set of written and unwritten rules that have developed over time due to these very same controversies. Without context it's difficult for some to understand the reasons for certain policy and procedures around here.

That said, I'm certainly not advocating for old issues being continually revived solely for the sake of stirring the pot. But facts are facts and history is history. There's nothing wrong with acknowledging events of the past when it serves to educate and provide context for members of this community. Seldom is this necessary anyway but it's often helpful when it does occur.

Steven Draker was an excellent and popular escort. In his day he was amongst the best in class. He was a valuable contributor to this community. But when he chose to act up he could turn this message center into a nightmare for many. I had several great experiences hiring him. That is until he turned his wrath on me and suffice it to say it was unpleasant.

I wouldn't equate him with Voldemort though. That moniker could apply to another escort in particular who's wake of destruction was massive and far reaching. The ramifications of that debacle continue to this day. That's a sleeping dog I'm not about to poke with a stick.

I respect your point of view @ArVaGuy. I accept that during his long working career Draker was praised by more than a few clients, and on the forum he could be genuinely helpful.

I never met the man. But when I posted about seeking a date with him, I was inundated with messages from about 20 different posters on how lucky I was to have 'dodged a bullet'. The messages seemed reasonable to me and were consistent in detailing how bad the experience could be if things went awry. He certainly displayed a malicious nature towards various clients and could be very vicious at times.

Should I assume a post has been deleted since the first modern post I see on this thread is by @marylander1940, and he mentions a post by @Oaktown that I don't see?

Gman

.

Thank you. I thought I was crazy. The post by @marylander1940 seems to be the one that revived this old thread despite any reference to some other, related subject thread.

Wow. Now he's got supernatural status.
