RE: WHAT'S NEXT...

Cooper:

It's easy to say NO to the gorgeous men of the Gaeity while 1800 miles away here in Houston. When I am in attendance at the lil ol shop above HO JO's however; and my favorites are chatting me up and telling me how much fun we'll have and are winking and smiling at me from on stage I tend to forget that two letter word and all my gears are primed for the stroll back to the Renaissance.

My experience has not been one of disappointment with the dancers. I have been incredibly fortunate to be in the company of great looking men who though not gay were certainly aware of the value of $200 and were more than willing to provide value for the money.

My observations,

H B

P S In short no matter what your decision you won't be drawn and quartered verbally from this position.

I can certainly understand that a Gaiety patron who has travelled from afar to visit NYC and the Gaiety can not be realistically expected to participate in this financial boycott.

But the regulars and locals - who probably make up a large percentage of the audience - could be quite effective and possibly make it even better for you on your next trip to town.

Onwards and upwards guys!

We have a similar problem in the DC area (though there are no "privates" that I'm aware of x().

I hope you will check in afterwards with a status report. I'm very interested in the effectiveness of the boycott.

To those gentlemen who do pay dancers $200 to just look at them in private and if you are real lucky actually touch them, understand you are contributing to this growing problem. You are making it unfair to the rest of us who want what we deserve for that kind of money! Yes it is time for us to get together and collectively speak up or the issues will fester. I have a very simple idea. This goes to many of you shamefully dashing through the turnstile as fast as you can. Express these concerns to the mystery ladies behind the glass instead of simply slipping them your cash without saying a word. Force them to respond to your inquiries. As for not tipping the dancers, I would go a step further. Literally get up out of your seat in an obvious manner and exit to the lounge or rest room when these dancers who gleefully cater to the female patrons in our faces walk out onto the stage. Have more respect for yourselves cause you are not paying to be ripped off and given anything less. Ten or fifteen years ago, admission was less and the hot action was more. Now it's going completely the other way. You can see hot male dancers at other places in New York without paying that kind of cover charge and you don't have to put up with giggling snatch in your face.

Cooper...you were wise to save your money with Michael. I did do a private with him and was disappointed that he is a typical clock watching, non-participating Gaiety dancer/escort.

I had admired his goodlooks for about two years and was excited to see him at the theatre last week so I immediately booked a private. He is very handsome, soft spoken but when he wanted extra to orgasm I lost interest. I imagine they get numerous requests to orgasm daily but to ask for more than two hundred dollars for a forty five minute private is robbery. Makes me appreciate Montreal all the more.

The "private shows" with the dancers are a ripoff. They want $200 for a rushed, in-between-acts quicky. What can they possibly do when they need to return to the theater in 40 min and do the two numbers, the second one erect? Way back in the old days of $5 admission, you could hook up with a dancer and have a memorable time. All that's gone.

Dance? Ha ha and ha!

You should see some of them! I was there about a month ago and a really cute Canadian kid (I think his brother was dancing, too) barely moved his feet on the stage. He wanted $500 to please me (try again!!). His brother also made the move and it was $200 for 20 min because he had to run to catch the midnight bus to Montreal (are we supposed to be desperate?).

Another guy who had GQ SMOOTH tatooed on him -- skinny --- jumped around aimlessly, making me afraid he would fall off the stage any minute.

I guess I'm one step ahead -- I never tipped. I did say good job to the ones I liked and ALMOST ran to the Comfort Inn with Sebastian. But it was the same old $200 for in-between numbers and I wanted more. He took off with a scrawny Japanese guy instead.

Agree. But what they're there for is not what you and I enjoy. If they could not get the privates, there would be no dancers. So let us thank the tippers and the suckers (including the Japanese) who pay these gorgeous, well-built, incredibly-humg hustlers for us to enjoy the cheapie show.

This has nothing to do with the current thread - but here goes.

Welcome to the group "Mr Big"

Question for you - are you the Mr Big we have enjoyed in "Sex And The City"? Just wonderin'

And why don't you just call yourself Chris Noth? :-)

>She isn't as old as some of us!

>LEZBO? How do you know?

Well it's not because we have ever bumped pussies!

I dunno - someone on this board, quite some time ago, said she was and I guess it just stuck in my craw. It might have been NYO but don't quote me as I really don't remember.

RE: WHAT'S NEXT...

So you just take an old hearsay which lacks any validity and simply blurt it out damagingly like an old farty hissing queen of a yenta!??

Where are you principles? Is that how you get ahead, tearing down others by attempting smear on their hearsay alternate life styles?

O tempora! O mores! Where is Fin Fang Foom when you need him?

>Stay on the topic and stop hitting on the guy, old timer!

Who the fuck pissed on your parade?

Ther was nothing wrong with my questions to Mr. Big and if you can't discern humour especially when there is am "emotion" added, it's time for you to turn in your web license.

And as for staying on topic - who appointed you as forum cop?

No - as a matter of fact it isn't and if you had been around longer than two weeks (or checked the archives) you would know where it came from. Although I must admit, you assumption does not surprise me given the intellectual level of you posts so far!

Lookit - you stupid shit. This is a site for gays and as such there is nothing wrong in calling someone the short term "lezbo" for lesbian. And by claiming I am damaging her sounds like you think there is something wrong with homosexuality.Honey, do you ever have problems!

Why don't you go lick her cunt!

WW to the rescue :-) ...

I'm choking on my coffee while reading this, realizing that this thread is without woman-bashing for once! But seriously, to answer your question, I think that it's a matter of a person's class, age, and experience. Surely there are men (straight or gay) who behave rudely at strip clubs and who haven't been taught how to tip properly?

I can proudly say that I've never been to Chippendale's (the idea of being surrounded by all of those screaming women is bringing a migraine on) but as I've stated before, some women thrive on hanging out at gay clubs because they're sick and tired of all the SHIT that they've put up with straight guys. I deal with straight guys every day in business and if you think that bars are the only place where we hear dumbass pickup lines, you're wrong. Going to a gay club can be like an oasis.

I've been to a couple male strip joints with gay male friends and have been polite enough to enjoy myself without making a fucking spectacle out of myself. It's common sense, like being a guest in someone else's house. You can tell the quality of a person by how they behave themselves in public. Now that my little etiquette speech is over, I suggest that you guys DO make your views known to management and/or boycott those dancers who cater to women. Tips are their bread and butter and the results of your boycott would be INSTANTANEOUS. (And, as I've said before, THIS is why there are few male escorts who only cater to women: they'd starve for lack of demand). Also, Management can limit "ladie's nights" to one night a week without fear of legal consequences, and as someone pointed out, there are other venues in NYC that gay guys can take their female friends to. As far as tipping goes, I think it's a matter of education. Most women have not been taught how much to tip (either they've let their men do it or whatever) - granted, if you've ever worked a bar or tables (been there!) you know damn well that in a service industry, workers rely on their tips.

That's my opinion, anyway. Still not sure why women would go to strip clubs (straight or gay) on a regular basis anyway. Women are wired differently from men (men are more visual when it comes to sex) and I think that trying to FORCE themselves to "do what men do" is like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. (Oh, I do feel a Rick Munroe joke coming on with that last sentence! :+ )

STILL ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF BASHING..

>Why do you call Denise "LEZBO UNDER GLASS"? Is this an

>estrogenophobic comment? Why do you assume she's a "LEZBO"?

>Character ASS ASS ination?

To IAMI2002:

I applaud you for speaking up and bringing to our attention another perfect example of a vicious attack on an innocent person's character. It seems that too many of us have become immuned to this type of verbal abuse and sit back while it continues. When will it stop?

These derogatory and slanderous comments aimed at Denise, owner of the Gaiety, are out of line for any regulated board. The bad behavior exhibited by the author of these remarks should be enough to have him removed. Vultures like these should be forced out and left to find another board to feed on.

**Out to Denise: Kindly accept my sincere apology for not speaking up sooner. I'm just as guilty as the next member for putting up with this crap for so long. I'm truly sorry you had to read it.

Respectfully submitted,

"Cooper"

Do you mean to tell me that Denise actually reads this thread???

Where does she find the time....she's ALWAYS behind that glass...and on the telephone....from 1PM to at least midnight, 3am on weekends.

JUST IN CASE she does read it she sure as hell cares as we can all see from the reforms she has instituted.
