Hi, I will be in LV next couple of weeks and checking out options. Two of the top on the list, Adam and Stef, has websites that don't seem to be accessable any longer. Anyone know if they are still around or if there is any problem? Many thanks, Wayno

stephanlacoste.com appears to be up but only shows his banner graphic.

theadambomb.com does appear to be temporarily suspended.

I know Stef's site was his badly by the Nimda virus about six months ago. Perhaps it reared its ugly head again? Or maybe they're just making a big update.

Use the other contact info in their reviews. You can't go wrong with those two.

Got what I believe is an automated response from Adam when I sent an email to him:

"I am no longer escorting so if you are calling to meet in Vegas I apologize but I will not be able to accomodate.

Sincerely,

Adam

OXXO"

Something seems to be happening in Las Vegas as this seems very sudden (an email a week or so ago was returned with everything ok and interest in getting together). Another thread indicated some undercover sting going on in LV that scared off a number of escorts. This may be what happened to Adam and maybe Stef. Anyone know more details?

Maybe not a good time to go to Vegas.....

I tried to e-mail Stef but the e-mail came back as undeliverable. I hope he is OK - he is a really nice person.

I hope he is OK too. I have not met him but everything I hear about Stef is first rate. The same with Adam.

I hope they have a chance to post something to let everyone know they are ok.

From what I can tell from a quick survey of sites, the only one that I can tell at this point that were caught in this sting appears to be Stef and Adam. Anyone know anyone else that they believe had problems?

At the risk of seeming self centered, anyone feel that there is any attempt to target clients? Seems like if we stick to the people reviewed here the risk is pretty minimal.

Although you state that Stef is just fine, does he plan to do anymore escorting soon?

I became perturbed when I read about the "sting" on this site. Cannot law enforcement and federal agents and others in those capacities work on the REAL CRIME that ills this country in its innumerable sectors?

Look at our Congress! The members would rather spend innumerable hours worrying about whether the Pledge of Allegiance is said in our classroom rather than right the vast ills that plague the people that make up its constituency: medical insurance, the homeless problem, social security, terriorism in its truest sense, etc. (I just had to vent my disgust!)

I, too, hope that these two men are all right as well as anyone else who was involved in this lunatic act of law enforcers.

This is not the time to ask or answer this question... for obvious reasons -- even if the answer were known. Let the dust settle and the system work its process. These guys need some time to deal with this issue -- give them space. When they are ready they will let us know about their future.

Patience is a virtue.

...and best wishes to both of them.

Bless you TY.

Posting speculation and rumor is worse than posting real news no matter how bad the news may be.

Let it settle into a place where it CAN be discussed. :-)

I think we should respect Adam and Stef's need to handle this in the way they feel is best for them and that does not put them at further risk of prosecution. When and if the time is right, they will address this and let people know their plans for the future. From everything I have heard, these are two very professional guys.

The next question to ask is what is the ongoing risk to other escorts and clients with this crackdown? I am sure there will need to be more of a screening process. I wonder if things will totally shut down for awhile or how things will progress. This is admittedly a somewhat selfish question as I will be in Vegas soon and worry about this.

There are still plenty of escorts available in Vegas according to my buddy/escort friend in Vegas. I think the main ones are still continuing with caution and only going with "regulars". They HAVE to since I heard some boys have accumulated over $7000 in legal fees to try to dismiss their misdemeanor charges. From what I was told, my buddy along with the others have a slap on the wrist with a small misdemeanor that can be expunged years from now. Yeah, they may have a stigma in the near future, but they'll be fine in the long run.

I don't think there is such a problem with "clients". They are targeting the "escorts"... and I highly doubt they would entice a young boy/escort to try to "entrap" clients over a small misdemeanor.

Proceed with caution, but understand if the boys are severely more cautious in their screening process.

From reading this board over the past x years, there have intermittently been posts about stings in Vegas.

That said, I am still laughing after reading about someone's case on this board...the reviews, and escort replies, are fodder enough.

Do we even know they were caught in a sting? It seems like there's some assumption that everyone believes to be fact. I hope they both are fine.

I wonder if this is the next step in John Ashcroft's crackdown on hookers? His agents spent 13 months in New Orleans and netted 12 hookers. I wonder how many he netted in LV? Just 2? At least when the next terrorist attacks happen, Ashcroft can say he was putting his resources to good use, saving us all from a victimless crime known as prostitution.

This is from the Washington Post:

New Orleans Brothel Made a Federal Case

FBI Wiretap Finds Elite Clientele, No Mob Ties

By Adam Nossiter

Special to The Washington Post

Monday, June 3, 2002; Page A03

NEW ORLEANS -- The calls from wealthy men to the white-columned Victorian house were about women: who was available, what they looked like and what they would do for top dollar. The callers were bankers, stockbrokers, a telecommunications mogul, a member of one of the city's leading restaurant families, a former head of the prestigious Mardi Gras society Rex, an ex-pro football star, a partner in a prominent local law firm -- and they all wanted discretion.

But FBI agents were listening. Hour after hour, month after month, 10 agents recorded the men's demands, the brothel keepers' deals and the prostitutes' complaints. The agents were listening on Sept. 11, in the days before and in the days after. With 90 calls a day to monitor, the listening post was busy.

"Okay, Joe, let's go over this again, she's light-skinned, she's young, she's pretty," a government agent dutifully recorded last April 24. "Joe asks how she's built. Taylor says she's built real nice, but not too chesty. Joe says all right, he'll be there at 3:45."

With great care, the agents documented the secret life of a high-end brothel. Through more than 5,000 phone calls, they kept listening to the madams, the hookers and the johns, even though the conversations never turned up mentions of mob bosses or hard-core drug dealing -- both cited in the FBI's initial wiretap application 13 months ago.

They heard the madam, Jeanette Maier, telling a subordinate to "blow off" calls from Holiday Inns and Ramadas; working to meet customers' needs ("George wants an appt with a large woman. Jeanette doesn't have one"); drumming up business ("She tells Steve to bring some extra money and see both girls"); and being warned by her mother about a new recruit ("Don't book this little girl, she's going to need some training").

The result is an unusual federal prostitution case that has set New Orleans abuzz. Who are the johns in the FBI's 200-plus pages of phone transcripts? And why did the bureau pursue with such energy what is a misdemeanor in state courts, and rarely a federal crime? After an investigation lasting more than a year, 12 alleged prostitutes and madams were indicted in April on conspiracy and racketeering charges; three others, including two men, were accused of helping the operation.

Federal statutes applied because the prostitutes flew in and out of New Orleans and were part of a national prostitution ring, according to the local U.S. attorney. Several of the alleged madams indicted live in other cities, including New York and Chicago. Only one man accused of being a client was charged -- he was also accused of assisting the New Orleans madam -- but defense attorneys vow to put plenty of johns on the witness stand if prosecutors go to trial.

In a city where turning tricks has been part of the culture since Louis XIV shipped over fallen women to entertain the French colonists, the unveiling of a brothel might have been greeted with a yawn. But this was different. The keen interest of the federal government in prostitutes, in pre- and post-Sept. 11 America, has baffled the local legal community.

"The whole thing is an incredible waste of federal resources," said Arthur A. "Buddy" Lemann III, one of the most experienced of the city's criminal defense lawyers. "To make a federal offense out of it is like using an elephant gun to kill a fly."

Jonathan Turley, an expert on constitutional criminal procedure at George Washington University, said: "It's extremely unusual for federal prosecutors to pursue a prostitution case. It's particularly curious in an administration that is built on respecting traditional areas of state authority."

Turley added that the FBI and federal prosecutors "often covet the crimes that fall to state authorities" because they "are a great deal more interesting than pursuing white-collar criminals and tax evaders."

*************

This just shows that John Ashcroft is more interested in enforcing the Bible than in enforcing the Constitution, which he is sworn to uphold.

RE: Please, Start a New Thread

BoN,

This is really an interesting article and I appreciate your posting. However, I really think it deserves a new thread rather than being buried in this one (and I certainly don't want to see this thread hijacked).

With the increased prosecution in multiple cities, there does appear to be an agenda that needs to be exposed.

Thanks again for the great info.

Hey there Guys,

I want to start off by apologizing for not informing everyone of what happened. To clear up anything , I believe to be the only escort in Vegas to have been busted in a sting operation. After going through the processes I decided that I would never want to return to a situation like that again. Steph and I are ok. He was not involved but we both decided it was time. As for him I can't speak on his career plans since I believe he is lying low until Vegas cools off. I am moving from Vegas back to my home town so it will be more and more difficult to see clients. I do apologize but I must go back to my roots and focus on my life. I will let you know as things progress. As far as I understood they are going to hit me pretty hard so I must be a good boy from now on!

Thank you for your concerns,

Adam

Isn't this the most stupid thing you've heard this year?

He's accused of a totally victimless "crime". 2 adults having consensual sex. So what if a little money passed hands?

Why don't they arrest every striaght bitch who cons a man into buying her an expensive dinner and a night on the town before she consents to have sex with him? What's the differance, money still was involved and she got the benefit of what the money bought.

Don't you think our lawmakers are living in the 19th century where sex is concerned? They should be taken to court for throwing away taxpayers money!
