Anyone else experience post-orgasm melancholy?

I was comparing notes with a friend, he said the same thing I feel post coitus/orgasm. A general feeling of almost depression, as in  " not what? ".

Any Brothers feel the same?

wow absolutely yes - a little bit more so in commercial situations,  but not exponentially more 

i get hungry... but i do get melancholy as well,,, issue is: is it simply brain chemistry or is there a more complicated set of factors going on?

Not melancholy, but certainly a period of reflection and introspection.

When I was younger, that melancholy was mixed with a sense of guilt and remorse. Fortunately that's all behind me, but there's still definitely a mood reset that happens. And yes, I start thinking about food!

I totally understand what you are referencing.    For me I wouldn't call it "melancholy",  but a reset and at times tend to be a little more logical with focus.

some combination of let-down/is that all there is/guilt/undefined.......lasts from about five seconds after thru to a minute after......then back to normal daily doings or go take a nap.......I've theorized that it's a sudden upset in the testosterone balance that creates the feeling, but no idea.......
