Yes!  In NYC it is. All the spas run specials because most people are out of town. It’s a good time to make spa and restaurant reservations.

When it's going back to normal?

I advertise on different sites so I can confidently say the clients are simply booking someone newer.

2 RM sites combined(Manhattan): 3 clients this week

Other site(Brooklyn): 6 clients this week

As you can see, on RM sites I’m no longer the “new guy” in NYC, the number of clients will obviously decline over time. Plus, RM is extremely oversaturated with Asians. Just think about it, 60+ Asian guys competing for the same pool of clients in NYC.

On the other site, I’m still relatively new. Combined with boosting my ad through VIP membership, clients in Brooklyn area where I host for that site all came out of hiding. There are only about 10 Asians on that site, so it’s obviously much less competition than RM. What I’m experiencing right now is what people call the “newbie gain”. Latinos face even more insane competition on this other site. Over 300 Latino providers in NYC!

I won’t go much into detail on the other site. This is just to show clients are always there. It’s simply the newer person getting the “yes” and the other getting the “no”
