samhexum Posted August 13 Posted August 13 On this day, 29 years ago, Kenny died. It wouldn't be the last time. The envelope-pushing, profanity-heavy animated series "South Park" premiered on Comedy Central on August 13, 1997. marylander1940 1
mtaabq Posted August 13 Posted August 13 What? WHAT?!?! TWENTY-NINE YEARS?!?! Holy sh*t! My sweet Lord in Heaven. I stopped following the show regularly after the “Cartman’s Dad” storyline, but still watched it occasionally. The first couple of seasons were shocking and funny as hell and nothing was sacred. And the “South Park” movie was utterly f*cking brilliant. (The music? The songs? OMG! Even Stephen Sondheim praised the music and lyrics.) Weren’t the “South Park” boys on the cover of “Newsweek” at one time? Twenty-nine years. Damn, I’m old. samhexum and MikeBiDude 1 1
