Ironic that “video killed the radio star” but now there’s no music on MTV and radio is going strong!

They have quite a good library of 80s music.

Are these pre recorded programs which allow most of the people who work at the station to have the weekend off?  I recall a station in NJ playing the song 96 tears continuously for three days over a weekend which may have been the Memorial Day weekend.
