The rest of the time, he didn't pay me an hourly rate, but he picked up travel (except for the finale uber trip) bought dinner, and drinks. This guy would not agree to or negotiate a fair hourly rate. He refused to pay me for my general time and would only pay for the private sessions. I decided not to walk away, and I should have decided not to go on this trip. I made $900 over the course of three nights, so it's not terrible pay. Considering how much time I spent with him and my exhaustion from the experience, I felt I should have been paid more. You were absolutely taken advantage of and you should have been paid more. That is an hourly rate. NOT an overnight. It makes way more sense now with what he was doing with his fake uber and promises of 'future payments'. You are still new to the business and only working 5 months and he for sure took advantage of you in a bad way. If you have any questions or guidance please feel free to reach out by DM. Hope you're not going soon, I'm going to go in September, which is late winter or early spring down there. It'll be cold, but that's okay. I do want to see some snow. Rod Hagen 1

I was there in late June one year and there was plenty of snow. Definitely take your Winter gear/clothing. Bear in mind it’s a huge area. I only explored the northern part which is often referred to as ‘the Lake District’. We flew into Bariloche and drove from there. I was genuinely surprised at how vast it was. The developed areas seem to be like ribbons on a map and it’s very easy to go into deep wilderness that is regularly cut off in Winter. Rod Hagen and Aedo 1 1
