Doe Be Doe Posted Friday at 10:25 PM Posted Friday at 10:25 PM Hello. Any advice for dealing with hotel showers? Almost every hotel I have stayed in has a shower that just doesn't work well. The water barely makes it to my chest from the showerhead. I know hotels have low flow showerheads but it is pet peeve of mine. Luckily I have found a few hotels that have hand-held or telephone showers that work wonders. Is anyone else bothered by this situation? Are there any tricks to getting the areas below the chest clean? I've often used glasses or plastic cups to supply water. Any other thoughts? Thanks.
+ nycman Posted Friday at 11:11 PM Posted Friday at 11:11 PM Stay in better hotels? I’m being funny, but it really is the #1 reason I stay in nicer hotels. I don’t care what part of town I am in, I don’t need a doorman, the size of the bedroom is meaningless, and a hotel concierge is basically wasted on me. But a nice shower, is priceless. + azdr0710, + Lucky and thomas 3

I agree but I have stayed in nice hotels with the same problem. In researching the issue on travel sites I find people take pliers with them to remove the water flow restrictors. Others take hand held showers and replace the shower head. Seems like a lot of trouble. MikeBiDude 1

+ azdr0710 Posted yesterday at 02:35 AM Posted yesterday at 02:35 AM no hotel, no bed, no shower, no chair, no desk, no pillow, no "free hot breakfast" (toast is hot, I guess), no clock, no free coffee is ever as good as back home.......well, maybe a Westin Heavenly Bed beats mine........and don't get me started on auto-slamming doors up and down the hallway - (being a perfect person, I politely hold the door behind me until it quietly clicks shut) Becket 1
BuffaloKyle Posted yesterday at 02:49 AM Posted yesterday at 02:49 AM Call a hotel before you book to inquire about the shower. If you want to make sure you get a honest answer as well call during the overnight. You'll get the night auditor who I can assure you will give a much more honest answer than if you call during the day. thomas, + nycman, MikeBiDude and 2 others 3 1 1
