Scott C Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Hey, we all love massage! Or most likely we would not be here... I personally think that in todays world strictly Therapeutic Massage is rare for a client to want... Sometimes I am not in the mood for a HE, but sometimes I am... I have been a long time client of many massage therapists - and my question is... It is really worth the nearly doubling of rates for sensual? Usually the sensual part is less than 10% of the session - or at least that has been my experience... Curious to know others thoughts on the subject...
whatsinaname Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I'm sure this opinion will be unpopular here but you're asking someone to do something illegal so what is "fair" isn't decided by you, the client, but rather the therapist. "What is it worth to risk my license/business/etc" and they set their prices accordingly. Also, there are plenty of people who get massages that are strictly therapeutic, just maybe not on this forum. Eyeinyhesky, Rob Toronto, + EVdude and 1 other 2 2
Scott C Posted 21 hours ago Author Posted 21 hours ago (edited) Not asking anyone to do anything other than what they are advertising... On RentMasseur Therapeutic is one price and then Sensual is nearly double for some therapists (some are the same price for all services...) Hey I get it, they have the right to set their rates as they see fit. Edited 21 hours ago by Scott C
Luv2play Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago I’ve always made the distinction between a massage provider who can provide a receipt for his services that one can claim on an insurance policy or tax receiptable medical expense and one that does not have the necessary credentials. If the former offers sexual services then their license is placed at risk. The latter are free to offer whatever services they wish. Rob Toronto 1

Not unpopular with me. I completely agree. I love a combination session of skilled massage with an erotic finish...but I do expect THAT to cost more (usually double) what a standard therapeutic session would cost. Even if the erotic portion is 10% of the hour.

If sensual is double anyway, I'd rather hire at escort rate and be clear about my goals for our session, and how I would like the time to be used. If what I need is massage to address a physiological problem, I've occasionally hired masseurs and been clear about what their role won't include - they can remain clothed (I am not (draping is up to him) and I won't be seeking MT or HE. I still tip well if his bodywork skill is up to par.
