A friend is supposed to go tomorrow. So far no cancellation email to him.

Well, I wouldn't rely on whatever hotel/condo/airbnb I rented to look out for my safety and preemptively cancel my reservation, providing a refund to me.  I assume they'd rather someone either keep their reservation and show up or keep their reservation and not show up.  That being said, I just watched a YouTube video from someone living there who described things as pretty much back to normal apart from the businesses that were damaged (which, apparently, disproportionately affected large convenience store chains like Oxxo).  If I already had reservations and had enough lead time to cancel, I am not sure what I'd do.
